HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY MARCH 2015
BUCKEYE BREEZETraveling this month was a little stressful, the weather man just was not as cooperative as I would have liked. Just saying, this weather can move South at any time; I'm sure it will not hurt anyone's feelings. How about that Super Bowl game!!! We had a party at my home club. I'm pretty sure everyone had a great time as they are still talking about it.
February 1 - Massillon held the Prep Meeting for the NEZ. It was nice to see so many friends in attendance.
February 14 - Stayed home with the grandkids and celebrated Valentine’s Day; made cookies and hot chocolate and played games on the Xbox. This is something that everyone needs to try.
February 15- Off to Girard Aerie Home for the NEZPPC Reverse Raffle. Was not sure if the weather was going to cooperate, but Grandpa Joe called to say he purchased some hand warmers and blankets; not to fret, he had everything under control. Girard Aerie and Auxiliary did a fantastic job hosting this event. Guess everyone was tired of staying inside, we had a great turn out, great food, and a great time just being with friends.
February 21- Agnes and I will be attending Geneva Anniversary; I will give you an update in the next Breeze.
Dates to Remember - March 7 - is my Testimonial at Canton McKinley. March 21 - is our visitation to One Way Farm.
Visitations dates for Grand Madam President Gloria Mason's visits to Ohio are as follows: March 28- Cadiz Auxiliary #2162; March 29 - Reynoldsburg Auxiliary #3261; March 30- Miami Auxiliary #971; March 31 - Delta Auxiliary #2597; April 1 - Columbia Station #4003. Please join us in welcoming Gloria to Ohio.
Snow has been very cooperative, it seems when we have to travel, it clears up enough so we can go. We will be on the road for the next 7 weeks, so maybe it will just give up and go away; one can only hope. Bundle up and be very safe in your travels.

IMPORTANT CHANGE TO OHIO STATE CONVENTION! IT HAS BEEN MOVED TO:
HOLIDAY INN FRENCH QUARTER PERRYSBURG, OHIO
JUNE 16-19, 2015The 2015 convention has been moved to Holiday Inn French Quarter in Perrysburg. The Ramada Plaza in Columbus is closed down. It has been a long month trying to deal with them with no response as of yet, but they are closed. After many trips, conversations with other hotels, and trying not to change the convention dates, the Holiday Inn has helped and is ready for us. Sorry for any inconvenience; just happy to say it has been fixed. Thanks, Bill Isaacs
Holiday Inn French Quarter 10630 Fremont Pike Perrysburg, OH 43551 419-874-3111 Room Rate: $95.00 + tax
If you have a reservation with the Ramada Plaza in Columbus, it is highly recommended you call the 1-800 number and cancel your reservation. (1-800-854-9517)
If you have received and accepted a 2015 State Convention Assignment from State Madam President Harriet Luke, but can no longer accept the assignment due to this change, please contact her immediately. And/or if you have been asked by Incoming State Madam President Gwen Salyers to be in her presentation, installation, help with the party room, or anything else at the 2015 State Convention and you are no longer able to do so, please contact her immediately. Please contact both Harriet and Gwen no later than March 15, 2015, so other plans can be made.
We sincerely hope everyone who was planning on attending our 2015 State Convention can still do so. If you have not been to Perrysburg, it is a very nice location; lots of shopping and restaurants in the area and very nice hotel/party room.
ATTENTION AUXILIARY SECRETARIES: Be on the look-out for the 2015 State Convention packet being mailed to you in March. All the information you need for the convention will be in the packet. Please make note of the numerous deadlines.
APRIL BIRTHDAYS

UPDATE: It was posted in the February 2015 Buckeye Breeze that PSP Tom King is still not receiving visitors. GOOD NEWS!! We are NOW allowed to visit him!! He is now in Heartland of Indian Lake (State Rt. 33). Please keep those prayers coming!!!! Thank you!!
Hello, Eagle Brother and Sisters: I want to thank all of those who came to State Officers’ Night and supported my Reverse Raffle. A great big Thank You to Pam and Kenny Kohlrieser for handling my Reverse Raffle and to Zanesville #302 for hosting it. What a great weekend was had by all. Congratulations to Carla and Larry on their wedding, may you have happiness always.
Now it is getting time for Zone Conferences and I want to urge all of you to try and attend. If you are really interested in keeping up with the Rules and Regulations, Saturday at Zone is when questions and answers are presented and this is a great way to learn. Sundays are when you can see exactly how the Ritual should be done. Both days you will hear speeches about how the District Leaders and Zone Charity Chairmen are doing.
Sisters, if you received a letter from Madam President, Harriet Luke, or me asking you to do something at State Convention or all next year, PLEASE, PLEASE, get those letters back to us as soon as possible indicating whether you accept or decline the appointment. It is very hard on us to wait until the last minute to know if all positions are filled for this year’s Convention and for my upcoming year. So I stress to you, get that answer back to us as soon as possible.
To Madam President, Harriet Luke, you are doing a great job and you have accomplished so much in such a short time. I am truly proud to serve as a State Officer under your direction, and I only hope I can do half as good of job as you are doing. Thank you for all your help!
Fraternally, 1st. State Vice President, Gwen Salyers
