The smallest warriors, the children, often make some of the most significant sacrifices moving from state to state, school to school, and having parents deployed for long periods, along with the miriad other challenges military families face. We are proud to acknowledge and support the tremendous strength and resiliency children of our military families display. To recognize military children, we have launched our 2nd annual “Hunt Little Heroes.” We ask that your children share stories of what they think it takes to be a hero and how they’ve been a positive influence in their community. Applicants are asked to submit a 300-word essay, a video no longer than 2 minutes, or a drawing telling their “Hero Story” in their own unique way. For the “younger” heroes, a photo with a short caption may also be submitted. All applicants will receive a complimentary Hunt Little Heroes cape and mask. We will select the top three submissions and give a cash prize to each. Medal of Honor DayMedal of Honor Day is celebrated every year on March 25. It was created to honor the "heroism and sacri�ce of Medal of Honor recipients for the United States.” The holiday has been celebrated since 1991, when George H. W. Bush signed into public law on November 15, 1990. The holiday was chosen to be celebrated on March 25 to honor the 23 men who participated in the Great Locomotive Chase and received Medals of Honor for it, particularly William Bensinger, Robert Bu�um, Elihu H. Mason, Jacob Parrott, William Pittenger, and William H. H. Reddick, who received the �rst six Medals of Honor on March 25, 1863.

Wednesday, March 17, 2021 Fort Lee Family Housing will host a drive by Donut A�air in the parking lot of the Welcome Center on Sisisky Blvd from 2:30pm to 4:00pm.
2 lucky winners will win an Alexa, plus there will be more prizes in random donut boxes. Check your donuts for a special token.
Kindness Rocks, Crafts, and Scavenger HuntFort Lee Family Housing will provide rocks and paint for the kiddos to decorate their kindness rock. The supplies will be available at each neighborhood center from March 18th through March 25, 2021. Let the imaginations run wild!
We then ask that you return your painted rocks to your Resident Service Specialist on March 26, 2021. Our Resident Service Specialists are going to hide your rocks in your neighborhood for a Scavenger Hunt.
On Monday, March 29, 2021, the Scavenger Hunt will begin. Stop by your neighborhood Center to pick up a map and a bag. On March 31, 2021, return your rocks to your Resident Service Specialist to verify your �nd. Be sure to post on Facebook along the way!
