Dear Parishioners and IC Schools supporters

The IC PTO would like to take this opportunity to thank

you for your support of Immaculate Conception Ukrainian

Catholic Schools and our fundraising efforts.

We are proud to announce that IC Schools won the "Will

Your School Rule" contest at Oakland Mall. Thank you to

everyone who took the time to take their receipts to the

Information Desk. Your efforts were instrumental in IC

Schools winning the grand prize of $5,000.

The PTO would also like to thank everyone who

supported the Ladies' Day Tea. Your donations of time,

money, and goods helped to make this a very successful

fundraiser for the school and a delightful afternoon for our

guests.

May God rain his blessings down upon you for your

unwavering support of our students. The love and support

you’ve shown will be something they carry with them

always.

A Mother's Prayer A woman views her daughters and the way they have all grown

As today they've become older and have families of their own

Recalling when they were so young and the way they use to play

She finds a great comparison to the way they are today

Today they always bicker for the littlest of things

They just don't seem to realize what pain to her it brings

She's always sending prayers as she lies in bed at night

That God will help them get along and they'll no longer fight

She's come to know she's in her years and won't be here forever

And hopes before she leaves this world they'll get along together

The years have come she's now so ill and lying in a room

Within her mind her last breath she knows is coming soon

It's late at night around her bed her daughters have all gathered

But even now they start to squabble over things that just don't matter

They take notice of her grimace as she struggles with her pain

But she finds a way to see them and to them she now proclaims

"Daughters my last day is here so please now let me speak

Even though it hurts so much and now I feel so weak

I've loved you all so very much not one above the other

That it hurts me so the way you've been unkind to one another

I have tried hard to raise you right but I feel something is wrong

For regardless what I've tried to do you just don't get along

So I ask you as I leave you to please now make amends

And set aside your petty differences and try now to be friends

Tonight I meet my maker as He's saved a place for me

A place where from all my pain I now will be set free

For years I've always been here as your loving, caring mother

But I hope now as I leave you that you find you need each other"

Her eyes now begin closing as she slowly starts to die

And it's now her words have reached them and they all begin to cry

They now begin to realize just how blind they have been

And together they have made a vow to try and start again

On the day she's to be buried on the altar one now speaks

With the hopes that to their mother their words will now be reached

"Mom today we feel so bad for what we all have done

For not knowing how it hurt you that we did not get along

But today we hope you see us as together we have vowed

To answer all your prayers and to make things right somehow

We'll miss you mom but through your words we know we'll make things

right

So may God's angels be beside you until the day we all unite"

On weekends they will gather and often speak about their mother

As today they realize she was right - they have found they need each other
