Dear Members,It seems like just a few short months ago I was

writing my first Call letter, and now I am writing my last. I would like to thank all of our Lodge offi-cers, trustees and members for helping to bring our Lodge back to the stature we are known for.

I would like to congratulate the newly elected officers for the upcoming year. I am very confident that they will have an outstanding year in office. I am sure everyone in this great lodge will support them as I was supported.

I would like to invite all Elks to attend the 2010-2011 Installation of Officers scheduled for Saturday March 27, 2010. The evening will begin at 5:30 pm with the Installation Ceremony with Dinner to follow.

Lastly, from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank everyone in Glens Falls Lodge #81, without you there would be no Lodge, and thank you for giving me one of the best years of my life. Whoever said there were no challenges in retirement should become the ER of an Elks Lodge.

serve ice cream and popcorn to residents and patients will be Saturday, March 20th. We will leave the Lodge at 11:00 am; the sign-up sheet will be in the ‘Elk of the Day’ book in the lounge - please join us.

On Super Bowl Sunday; February 7th, the Lodge delivered pizza and beverages to the Adirondack Veteran’s Home on Pine Street in Glens Falls. Thanks to those who contributed, to Greg Roland for beverages and to Antonio’s Pizza Place (122 Bay Street) for his accommodations and most notable the wonderful product. It was enjoyed by all.

The book, CD, and unwanted cell phone drop-off contain-ers are located in the main entry lobby for those who wish to contribute.
