Christy's House is the name given to the house that the Under Over

Fellowship Church bought to serve homeless women.

West Conroe has been very involved in helping the church purchase the

house and refurbishing it. Sixty people worked on the house during Cross

Conroe and were able to get it ready for the next steps. It still needs

some electrical work and then the finishing touches can be made. Soon

the bathrooms will be finished and the air conditioning installed.

Once that all happens, the rooms can be painted and the floors finished.

Hopefully, by the end of September the house will be ready to furnish.

We can then begin the landscaping and when that is done, we will cele-

brate. An email will be sent to everyone who worked on the house as

work days are scheduled.

For more information contact Cheryl Padgett 409.781.3807.

Nicole is married to Mike and is

the mother of four children—two

boys and two girls. She moved to

Texas from Michigan when she

was in the sixth grade and gradu-

ated from Clear Creek High

School. She met Mike in high

school and they have been

married for 23 years. Her

favorite hobbies/past times are

wildlife photography, gardening,

hiking in the mountains and

travel.

Some of her favorite vacation spots are Alaska, Hawaii,

Yellowstone and the Oregon Coast. Interestingly, however,

she says she gets vertigo at great heights. She enjoys music

and particularly loves concerts.

Nicole and her family became members of West Conroe Bap-

tist Church in May 2013. She and Mike are members of the

Disciples Class and their children are active in the

children’s and student ministries. Nicole serves in the WCBC

Women’s Ministry and she is a member of the Leadership

team. Currently, she is the Women’s Ministry liaison for Un-

der/Over Ministries (Christy’s House).

Just for fun - she likes her coffee blended with coconut oil!

is a ministry born out of

the desire to help mothers in our community who might be considering abortion. The Pregnancy Assistance Center offers Christian based counseling, parenting classes and free ultrasounds to anyone

seeking help. That's where we come in.

Four times a year, we meet in the chapel to quilt blankets for the center. After the ultrasound, when a woman decides to keep her baby and receive help, she gets to pick out a quilt. We have even heard the story of a young girl who was looking at the wall of quilts during her ultrasound. She was particularly drawn to a John Deere Tractor quilt and after finding out she was having a boy, made the decision to keep

the baby. Of course, she picked that quilt.

Anyone who has a sewing machine and can sew a semi-straight line is welcome to join us. The quilt tops have already been made. We baste and quilt them. Don't worry about bindings. We have others that will

do them, or we will teach you how.

Kelly Ray 936.537.0972 Marga Haas is leading a Bible study for teen girls on Sunday afternoons in the Garden Room. Twenty-two girls and seven moms are coming to discover the life-changing truths from God's Word. "In today's culture, beauty is an idol worshiped and pursued by multitudes of women both young and old. Biblical beauty, however, is vastly different from worldly beauty" says Lori Cole the author of the study. Free video downloads are available to anyone and can be found at priorityministries.com/shop. The study will continue through the month of September. I Said a Prayer for You

I said a prayer for you today and know God must have heard.

I felt the answer in my heart although He spoke no word.

I didn't ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn't mind)

I asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind!

I asked that He'd be near you at the start of each new day

To grant you health and blessing and friends to share your way! I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small, But it was for His loving care

I prayed the most of all.
