Over 2,000 years ago the Jews won a war although they were outnumbered.

Once the Jews won the war they restored the sacred lamp (menorah). It only had oil to last one day but instead lasted
eight!

Yes, Hanukkah is a religious holiday. Hanukkah is just as important to Jewish people as Christmas is to Christians.
