Sewing Ears

1. Place Triangle from Quilt in a Day’s Triangle in a Square Ruler on 3'' x 5½'' Dark Brown. Line blunt tip of ruler to top of strip with angle to edge of strip.

6. Lay out Ears. Flip first triangle right sides together to left piece.

7. Sew. Set seams with smaller piece on top, open, and press toward smaller piece. Place patch with other pieces. Flip second triangle right sides together and sew. Continue adding triangles. Press away from the center. Trim Tips.

2. Cut on both sides of triangle.

3. Turn Triangle Template. Line up on cut edge and tip. Cut second triangle.

4. Take 3'' x 4'' Black strip and fold in half. Make a crease with finger or wooden iron. Open.

5. Center Triangle Template on 3'' x 4'' strip. Line up blunt tip to edge of fabric. Check that both sides are even and centered. Cut on both sides.

Sewing Neck

1. Mark 5 ½'' x 7'' Black and 5 ½'' x 7'' Light Brown Strips one inch from bottom left side.

2. Cut strip from mark to opposite cor- ner. Discard Smaller triangle.

Cut to tips.

3. Turn cut pieces toward each other.

4. Flip right rides together and sew bias edge. Press toward Light Brown.

5. Add 3 ½'' x 5 ½'' Light Brown to patch.

6. Add Ears. Press toward center patch. Silver Trim to Straighten.

1. Using Triangle Template. Cut wedges from 3½'' x 7'' Mane.

2. Place Triangle Template on one edge of 3½'' x 4½'' Black. Cut one side only. Discard Triangle.

3. Place Triangle Template on edge of 3½'' x 5½'' Light Brown. Cut one side only. Discard Triangle.

4. Lay out pieces. Flip Center piece right side together to Black piece. Sew. Add Light Brown to patch. Press away from center.

Sewing Mane

Sewing Block

1. Lay out Pieces with Barn door strips. 5. Place traced web wrong sides together to Head and Forehead. Using manufacturers instructions. Press. Trim on line and re- move paper.

6. Place on Block, cover the Ear edges, turn to desired position. Press in place.

7. Blind hem Stitch around pieces with matching thread. Add embellishment.

4. Trim markings 1/8'' inch from lines.

2. Sew pieces together.

3. Trace Head, Eye and Forehead on paper backed fusible web.
