deadline is
April 15th!
Children will enjoy the outdoor weather and mix it up with various games and activities to get their hearts and limbs moving! Teachers will act as basketball, baseball and bowling coaches. Children will practice improving their coordination and skills while having fun!
Dinosaurs
July 10th – July 28th
Why is it that children delight in
learning about and playing with
those creatures? Children will
learn that not all dinosaurs are
extinct. They will learn about
the history of dinosaurs
through dinosaur stories, and
unearth skeletal structures of
various dinosaurs. They will
acquire skills of precision and
complex language while
learning about the history and
lives of dinosaurs and creating
fun dinosaur art.
Chef’s Camp begins
with daily cooking
skills, like chopping,
grating, mixing, and
measuring (using
fractions)! Young chefs
will prepare and serve
their own lunch daily.
Children become food
critics as they visit and
sample food at local
cafes, and meet with a
chef.
For Photography
Camp students should
come ready to shoot
with their own
cameras, and they will
learn from our
resident
photographers how to
operate a camera,
improve the quality of
their photos and find
the ideal shot. They
will also incorporate
drawing with their
photography, create
an exhibit and display
some work in the local
community!
Read-a-long Math-a-thon
August 14th –
August 25th
In the last two weeks of our summer
program we will be reintegrating our
mathematic and language arts curriculum in
a fun interactive approach to inspire
students to continue to develop their
foundation in reading, writing, and
mathematic skills for academic success.
Tutoring Camp for Preschool/Elementary
Throughout all camps, one teacher will be
available to tutor small groups of children in
reading, writing and/or mathematics.
Tutoring sessions will be done as week-long
camps from 9am – 3pm; with the option of
children joining the summer campers for
before or after school summer care.
Tutoring will be done onsite or sometimes at
the library. Parents must identify student
needs early on.
