Dastakar Role:

& VO/keep informed exhibitions proposed

�Dastakar shall conduct pre-loom & Post-

• Enhancing skills of dyers
• Enhancing capability of the cooperative to work with
eco-friendly technologies.

�Upgrading & reinforcing good practices� Conducting workshops to train dyers in eco-friendly
practices.
� Supporting dye units for stocking good quality, environment friendly dyes, chemicals etc.
�Designing for market• Sensitizing the weaver towards the product needs in the
market
• Setting up of sample looms for understanding quality• Setting up of sample looms for understanding qualityparameters and product needs.
�Market information translation• Communicate with retailers for product needs to formulate
design briefs.
• Visiting the retailers and exhibitions to get concretemarket information.
Cooperatives’ Role:
Primary Cooperative Society is established for
handloom weavers to manufacture and sell handloom
products.products.
PHWCS shall produce the cloth as per the
requirements, specifications and purchase order given
and informed by Dastakar and deliver the same.
VO’s Role:
DRDA releases funds to PHWCS through VO’s
(By entering MOU’s).
VO submits utilization certificates to DRDA’s.
Every 6 months PHWCS will submit sales &
expenditure details to VO’s, VO’s in turn to DRDA.
DRDA will review the performance (Output),
expenditure sales once in 6 months along with Mandal
Samakhyas.
VO constitutes a committee to review and monitor utilization
of funds by Primary Cooperatives and also facilitation support provided by Dastakar.
