Background
Juan Ibáñes has had discussions with several members of ESB on this project and after the SC meeting held in Barcelona has come up with a table of contents for chapters and possible authors for this work, which would make a link between soil scientists and ecologists and bio-geographers.
Objectives
• Agree on the idea of ESB sponsoring a book on the subject or not.
• Suggest improvements on contents.
• Identify authors agree and alternative authors of individual chapters
• Establish a timeframe and a work program
• Evaluate level of support and if a special ESB Working group is needed.
Introduction• Preface DG ENV
