This year's main theme is "summer memories ." Listen to the narrated story as you watch the display of various fireworks, and add today's show to your memories of this summer. RKB announcers try their hand at this feature titled "Memorial of the Fireworks Sky," to present a slightly wistful and touching spectacle.

"Sizes of tonight's fireworks: The smallest No. 2.5 shell is f ired up to 80 m and fully explodes to a diameter of 50 m. The largest No. 10 shell reaches a height of 300 m, which is higher than Fukuoka Tower, and fully explodes to a diameter of 280 m."

[ Hachi (Bee) ] Fireworks that burst into all directions and freely course through the night sky.[ Kamuro-giku (Kamuro Chrysanthemum)]A kind of chrysanthemum in which sparks rain down from above.[ Botan (Peony) ] Stars without visible trails of sparks break into a sphere and disappear.[ Kiku (Chrysanthemum)]A chrysanthemum-shaped firework traditional to Japan, in which stars expand spherically with tail effects.[ Yanagi (Willow) ]Releases long-burning stars that trail downwards like the branches of a weeping willow.[ Kasumisou (Baby's Breath) ]As the stars fade, delicate flowers like baby’s breath bloom in the sky, followed by a brisk, clear burst of sound.[ Jisashiki ] The newest type created in recent years, the burst glitters mystically as it fans out.[ Heart ] Shaped as its namesake.[ Yashi (Palm) ] Features wide fronds that portray the tropical palm tree.

Hanabi Fantasia Fukuoka is a tapestry of lights and sounds. The Grand Finale crowns the 1.5 km-long, 450 m-high panorama when the night sky is filled with an impressive display of 6,000 fireworks fired over 6 1/2 minutes. Don't miss this year's big, new

project: numerous, elaborate fireworks that are designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages from various angles.
