Re: Engineering Open House Reservation for 105 Kenney Annex
This letter is written to confirm the agreements reached in our meeting last week for the use of 105 Kenney Annex by the Engineering Open House Committee. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ H ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ H H
There are classes and activities scheduled on the gym floor on Thursday, March 2, until 3:00 p.m. so the set-up for EOH may begin after that time. We will need to meet to inspect the floor before the tarp is put down. Peggy Vermillion will be in touch with you to confirm the time of the inspection. The set-up will be basically the same as last year with the tarp being installed by Champaign Tent and Awning Company. First, a layer of visqueen will be put down followed by the tarp. Plywood will be used where necessary and it will be supplied by the College of Engineering.
Arrangements are being made with the Operation and Maintenance Division for tables to be delivered. 0 & M will supply door mats and will check them periodically and replace them as necessary throughout the day on Friday and Saturday. Electrical requirements are also being discussed with Charles
To avoid problems experienced last year, the Division of Campus Recreation Kenney Security Staff will lock the area between the gym and the rest of the building so that all EOH traffic will remain in the gym. The EOH Committee is responsible for making sure that the balcony is roped off and that there are well placed and visible directional signs indicating the availability of public restrooms located in other buildings. There is not enough adequate restroom space located in the gym area to serve people attending EOH.
