EDITORS NOTES Roll on September,I can't take much more of this two games a week rrom both Wescott and Cobham,my fingers and typewriter need an overhaul as both are e.xhaustedl

The photocopying problem we had last season seems to have been solved and we have several people who have offered their services this season so I have been able to expand the contents and pages in this programme.With their help and my loonacy this programme 't,ill emulate the edition we had a couple of seasons ago that finished 3rd in the Combined Counties League and 52nd nationally in the Wirral Programme Club annual survey.In fact I intend to beat that and as Dawn Reynolds has resigned at Ash United it means that someone new can lift the trophy

Who will win the major honours this year? its too early to tell but I recon Liverpool will have . a hard time this year mostly from Everton;Arsenal and Manchester UnitedoI predict that Manchester United .will win the league with Everton;Arsenal Liverpool and Spurs £inishing high up.Oxford will lose narrowly to Chelsea in the Milk Cup £inal and Arsenal will beat Liverpool 2-0 in the F.A.Cup Final.So thats my choice you may disagr

, which is a ~tch society for people interested in English league and non-league football.The members are very friendly and I was privellaged to be invited to one of their meetings lnst time I was in Holland 0

The other members are former members of the "Continentals II who broke away and formed a club of their own.This club is called the Dutchies.The Chairman,Willem van Ekelenburg is a dentist in Eindhoven;whilst the oecretary Henk van der Sluis is a school teacher who spends some of his spare time reporting on waterpolo matches.The other members who follow Cobham are:Jan Buitenga;Johannes de Boer.

_The Dutchies produce a regular booklet on football which is most interesting to read.It is sent to all the ~nglish Rnd Scottish league clubs and any replies received are reproduced in the next booklet.It is strange that some of the information contained in this ~agazine is up to date and exact,they even have information that regular football followers in Britain ~on't know like transfers that are not often reported in our newspapers.Keep it up Dutchies.

Every year a few members come over to England and watch a few matches .Last Easter Henk;Willem and Johannes came over and visited this area and took in matches at Dawlish;Torquay;Plymouth;Southampton and Oxford.After seeing Oxford V Middlesbrough they travelled over to Gioucesterto see a match only to find that it had been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Whilst at Oxford we were introduced to several players in the players lounge and met Heine Otto who plays for Boro .He is a Dutch international who was signed from Twente Enschede for £125,000 in 1981.
