Savannah is a very enthusiastic
student, always making a super
effort to do her very best. She
loves to learn and is super
organised in her work. She
presents her work neatly and in an
organised way - it looks super.
Savannah is always ready for a
challenge and looks for ways to
extend her learning.
You have been super successful
this year. Well done.
Matilda is our super hero super student.
These are just some of the reasons
Matilda is a super classmate.
She sets a super example for others to
follow in her attitude to work and in her
excellent behaviour. She is a super
listener with super manners.
She is super organised and super resilient.
Matilda is super thoughtful – always
thinking of others and writing notes to
encourage others.
We are super proud of you, Matilda.
Notes from Mrs Hulonce…
2020 Foundation Update-
We enjoyed another successful Foundation
session, it was particularly fun because we got
to meet our new Buddies and create an artwork
together. It was wonderful for Mrs Munday and
Miss Mason to see how our new students
interact and learn with each other and their
buddies. Thanks to parents who attended the
informal chat with me in the conference room.
On Monday 2nd December, we will be joined in
the parent session by our team of DET Support
Staff- Mrs Caroline Shepherd, Mrs Robyn Bowen
and Ms Bronwyn Keillor. These lovely ladies
support students, families and staff to help our
students be the best they can be. We hope as
many 2020 Foundation parents as possible can
attend this important session at 2pm.
2020 Year 1-6 Transition-
Transition for all other year levels starts on
Tuesday 10th December. Students will meet their
new class teachers and classmates during the
afternoon session, learning more about what
2020 will entail. Staffing arrangements will be
announced on this day. Exciting times!
Grade 6 students will spend the day at their
chosen secondary school, which will give them
a taste of what their next years of schooling will
be like. We hope this day goes well and you are
full of excitement and positivity entering the
next stage of your educational journey.
School Review-
After our review we determined three main
areas of focus for 2020- 2023. These will be
developed with more information to come. GOAL 1: To maximise student learning growth
in Literacy and Numeracy
GOAL 2: To empower student engagement in
learning
GOAL 3: To enhance student wellbeing.
2020 Netbook program-
School Council (26/11/2019) approved the
netbook costs for 2020. We have a range of
options to enable purchase of cheaper
machines. Please see the paperwork to be sent
home to Grade 5’s. Cost ranges from $150- $537
on a first in first served basis. Payments can be
made earlier than 2020, see Emma Carr. An info
session will be held on Mon 10th February 2020.
Have fun!

Goal Setting & Self Talk
Goal setting is very important for us to
grow. It helps us focus. Goals shape our
dreams. Goals give us focus on what we
need to do to achieve what we want. In
order to reach our goals, we must
become better. Goal setting helps with
this by giving long-term vision in our lives.
We need powerful, long-term goals to
help us get past those short-term
challenges.
What goals do we have as a
family?
Do we have things we are aiming
to achieve?
Are we all doing what we need
to, to support the family goals?
Alongside goal setting, is self talk. This is
the voice inside our heads which
impacts who you are and how you live
your life. With practice you can learn to
be a positive friend to yourself and be
confident even when life is challenging.

What positive self-talk do
we use in our family?
Can we make this more
positive?
What words can we leave
behind?
What could we replace
the negative talk with?

Bundarra Sporting Opportunities 2019
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all Bundarra students for another amazing
year in School representative sport. From our first District Swimming event at the start of the year,
to our final event in the 3 Bays Marathon, the enthusiasm students showed towards all sporting
opportunities was amazing. We once again had an overwhelming amount of interest for all
sporting events, which is a credit to our students here at Bundarra. A big congratulations to all
those students who had the opportunity to represent Bundarra at either a District, Division, Region
or State level. Your effort and determination enabled you to participate to the best of your
abilities. Your Teamwork and Sportsmanship is always second to none, which makes such sporting
events so enjoyable for all involved. We always uphold our school values and represent our
school superbly. We may be slightly biased, but whenever there is a sporting event held, we feel
as though our students are the ones modelling exceptional behaviour both on and off the field/
court/ track.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Staff at Bundarra. Without the dedicated
staff here at Bundarra, our students would not get the opportunities to participate in such events,
nor would they have the opportunity to train with their teammates in lead up to events. I thank
you for giving up your time for our students and know that our students really do appreciate all
that you do for them.
To our parents and wider community, I would like to also thank you for your support throughout
the year. Without your support and commitment to your children, they would not have such
opportunities. I extend my thanks to all parent helpers throughout the year. Without your help and
support, sporting events cannot be held and students do not get the opportunities they should.
Thank you for supporting, timing, measuring, scoring, umpiring and all of the other roles you play
when needed. I am truly grateful for this support.
Upon reflection on another year, I am already looking forward to the New Year and the
opportunities for students next year. If you are a grade 3 or 4 student who did not have a lot of
opportunity this year, I am excited and eager to see you grab all sporting opportunities that come
your way next year. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Enjoy the break,
recharge those batteries, all in readiness for a busy, but exciting Term 1, 2020.
Cheers!! Mr. O
