    TRAINING CAMP MEDIA POLICIES

    Members of the media are asked to observe practice from the stands. Cameras andphotographers are permitted to shoot on the sidelines but may be asked to refrain fromfilming specific portions of practice.

    Interviews will take place within the area located where players exit the field. A Ticatscommunications staff member will collect requests for players/coaches. Members of the

    media are asked to congregate at the exit and conduct interviews within that area.

    For interview requests for players, coaches or any other Ticats staff that cannot be completedon practice days, please contact the Ticats communications team to facilitate the interview.Please do not contact any players, coaches or Ticats staff directly without prior consent fromthe communications staff.

    Practice times and dates can change without notice due to weather and other factors. Theclub will attempt to inform the media when practice times or locations have changed.

    Players and coaches will not be available to the media until all on-field activities are

    concluded. All interviews will take place on the field except for cases of inclement weatherand previous arrangements.

    Locker rooms, meeting rooms, training rooms, the dormitory and the cafeteria are off-limits toall media.

    When filming during practice, cameras and tripods are never allowed to enter the playingfield.

    COACH BIOGRAPHIES

    MARCEL BELLEFEUILLE HEAD COACH

    Marcel Bellefeuille officially took over as the 20th head coach in Hamilton Tiger-Cats history on October 27 after taking over the team on an interim basisin September.

    Bellefeuille originally joined the Ticats as offensive coordinator in December of 2007 after running the Montreal Alouettes offence the previous season.

    Bellefeuille was hired by the Alouettes in 2006 as the teams running backs and receivers coach after a five-year tenure with the SaskatchewanRoughriders the latter three as the Riders offensive coordinator.

    Bellefeuilles offences have established themselves as one of the leagues premier running attacks in the CFL. Under Bellefeuilles tutelage, Als runningback Robert Edwards led all CFL players with 17 touchdowns in 2006 while Montreal was the only team to boast two 1,000-yard receivers in KerryWatkins and Ben Cahoon.

    In three seasons at the helm of Saskatchewans offence, Bellefeuille helped the Riders gain over 7,000 rushing yards and led the league in rushing forthree consecutive years (2003-05). He has held CFL coaching jobs at all offensive positions.

    Before joining the Roughriders, Bellefeuille enjoyed a very successful three-year tenure as head coach at the University of Ottawa. The Gee-Geescaptured the 2000 Vanier Cup, one year after he was named the 1999 OQIFC Coach of the Year. Before becoming the head coach, Bellefeuille was anassistant with the Gee-Gees for three seasons from 1995 through 1997.

    Bellefeuille made the jump to the university level after two different high school coaching stints in Ottawa from 1991 through 1995. He also led the Ottawa

    Sooners to a championship game and served as head coach for the Crawley Raiders of Europes NFL Budweiser League in 1989. Bellefeuile also hasguest coaching experience with the NFLs Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills.

    Bellefeuille lives in Blainville with his wife Julie and their children Ymilie, Alexandra, Mathas and Cdrik. He is a native of Ottawa, while Julie is aQuebecer, born in Gatineau.

    MIKE GIBSON OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR

    Mike Gibson became the Hamilton Tiger-Cats offensive coordinator on December 10, 2008 after spending two seasons with the SaskatchewanRoughriders as Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Line Coach.

    Under Gibson's direction last season, the Riders averaged 124.6 rushing yards per game and Gene Makowsky was named the West Division's MostOutstanding Lineman.

    Prior to his time in Saskatchewan, Gibson served as the offensive coordinator with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2005 and 2006. Gibson previously spen2001 as the Bombers offensive line coach, helping Winnipeg achieve a 14-4 record and a Grey Cup appearance.

    After completing his playing career at Western Maryland in 1978, Gibson began his coaching career at his alma mater as a graduate assistant. In 1980,Gibson moved to Cornell University as their offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator. In 1982, Gibson joined Boston University as their offensivecoordinator and quarterback coach a position he held for six years. Following one season as Assistant Athletic Director andRecruiting Coordinator at Rice University, he spent four seasons as Temple Universitys offensive line coach. He then joined Colgate University, where heserved as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for two years.

    Gibsons first foray into the CFL came in 1995 when he was a guest coach with the B.C. Lions. He then spent four seasons (1995-1999) as the OT/TE anSpecial Teams coach at Rutgers University before joining Winnipeg in 2001. Gibson then moved to the University of Louisiana, where he served as theoffensive line coach for three years.

    GREG MARSHALL DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR / LINEBACKERS COACH /ASSISTANT HEAD COACH

    Greg Marshall brings over a decade of experience as defensive coordinator and a reputation for stout defences to Hamilton as the Tiger-Cats newdefensive coordinator, linebackers coach and assistant head coach.

    He spent the past three seasons as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where his stingy defence helped theBombers reach their first Grey Cup final since the 2001 season in 2007. In each of his three seasons in Winnipeg, Marshalls defence ranked among thetop three CFL teams in quarterback sacks.

    In 2006, Marshalls first year with the Bombers, he inherited a defence that was coming off one of the worst statistical performances in CFL history. Oneyear later, after a season which saw the defence surrender a league-record 8,249 yards and 513 points, Marshalls defensive unit improved vastly to allowthe third-fewest yards (5,500), just 396 points, and ranked in the top three of 14 defensive categories that season.

    Prior to his stint in Winnipeg, he spent 2005 with the Ottawa Renegades as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach. Ottawas opportunisticdefence recorded 57 takeaways and finished second in the league with 25 interceptions.

    Before his time in the nations capital, Marshall served five seasons (2000-04) as the Edmonton Eskimos defensive coordinator and defensive line coach.In 2003, Marshalls defence played an integral role in the Eskimos Grey Cup championship, leading the CFL in fewest points allowed (367), fewest pointsper game allowed (20.4) and fewest touchdowns allowed (37).

    He began his CFL coaching career with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1994 as defensive line coach. After two seasons as defensive line coach,Marshall added the title of defensive coordinator, a position he would hold for four seasons until 1999. While in Saskatchewan, he also serves as theteams coordinator for the CFL Canadian Draft.

    Marshall served as a guest coach at the Toronto Argonauts training camp in 1991 and at the Ottawa Rough Riders training camp in 1992 and 1993.

    Prior to joining the CFL, Marshall enjoyed three seasons with the CJFLs Ottawa Sooners, where he earned CJFL coach of the year honours after leading

    his squad to an undefeated season and national junior championship in 1992.

    His first coaching stint came with the American Football Alliances Ottawa Bootleggers. He was head coach of the Bootleggers for two seasons, includingtheir undefeated campaign in 1990.

    As a player, Marshall was one of the CFLs most feared defensive lineman during his nine-year career. He was a four-time Eastern All-Star, two-time CFAll-Star and was named the CFLs defensive lineman of the year in 1983. Marshall was originally drafted by the NFLs Philadelphia Eagles in the seventhround of the 1978 NFL Draft and had brief stints with the Eagles and Baltimore Colts.

    Marshall and his wife, Cindy, have four children Christine, Bryan, Caitlin and Kelsey.

    DAVE EASLEY SPECIAL TEAMS COORDINATOR

    Dave Easley, the Tiger-Cats special teams coordinator, brings over two decades of coaching experience to the Black and Gold.

    Easley began his CFL coaching career with the Toronto Argonauts as linebackers coach in 1991, helping the Argos earn a Grey Cup championship. Hewould move on to the B.C. Lions in 1993 as defensive line coach, a position he remained in until 1997 when he was promoted to become the Lionsdefensive coordinator. He guided the Lions defensive backs and special teams in 1998 and 1999, then joined the Montreal Alouettes as special teamscoordinator in 2000-2001.

    Easleys coaching career would make another stop in Ottawa in 2002 when he was named defensive coordinator of the Ottawa Renegades. He spentanother two seasons in Ottawa as the teams special teams coordinator before joining the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as their defensive backs coach in2005.

    Easley spent 2006 with the University of Manitoba, serving as the Bisons advisory to defensive backs coach and special teams coach. Before beginninghis professional coaching career, Easley honed his skills with the UBC Thunderbirds, the Renfew Trojans and Kelowna High School.

    Easley is the only coach in Canadian football history to capture national championships at the junior, university and professional levels.

    Easley also enjoyed a successful CFL playing career. He made his playing debut in 1969 with his hometown B.C. Lions, earning the CFLs Top Rookiehonour after returning 50 punts for 359 yards and making four interceptions. He remained with the Lions until 1973 when he joined the Ticats. Easleywould remain a Ticat until the middle of the 1976 season when he joined the Edmonton Eskimos.

    STEVE BURATTO OFFENSIVE LINE COACH

    Steve Buratto brings almost three decades of Canadian Football League coaching experience with him to Hamilton as he joins the Tiger-Cats staff asOffensive Line Coach.

    Buratto has spent the past three seasons with the Toronto Argonauts as Offensive Coordinator and, most recently, Special Teams Coordinator andRunning Backs Coach.

    Before joining the Argos, Buratto served as Offensive Coordinator with the Calgary Stampeders (2005-06) and the B.C. Lions (2003-04). Burattosoffences routinely ranked among the league leaders in several categories.

    Buratto has had two stints as a CFL head coach. The first came with Calgary in 1984, while the second occurred in B.C., where he would lead the Lions ttheir sixth Grey Cup championship after being named head coach midway through the 2000 season.

    His professional coaching career began with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1980 as the teams Offensive Line coach, a position he would hold until hebecame the Offensive Coordinator in B.C. in 1983. After his head coaching stint with the Stampeders, he returned to B.C. in 1986 for a one-year term astheir Co-Offensive Coordinator/Defensive Coordinator.

    Buratto once again served as Offensive Line Coach in Saskatchewan in 1993 as and then helped create one of the best offences in CFL history asOffensive Coordinator of the Baltimore Stallions in 1994 and 1995, earning back-to-back Grey Cup appearances and a championship in 1995. Hefollowed up his tenure in Baltimore with three seasons (2000-02) in B.C.

    He was also a guest coach with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1977 and Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1978 and 1979.

    Steve resides in Idaho with his wife, Judy. He has three children from a previous marriage; son Steve Jr. and daughters Dina and Jill. Steve holds aBachelor of Education degree, with a major in foreign language, and also has a Masters degree in Physical Education from the University of Idaho. As thestarting centre for the Idaho football squad, he was teammates with CFL legends Jerry Soupy Campbell and Don Matthews.

    TIM KEARSE RECEIVERS COACH

    Tim Kearse joins the Tiger-Cats staff as Receivers Coach after previously serving in the same capacity with the Montreal Alouettes and SaskatchewanRoughriders.

    Kearse began his CFL coaching career with the Roughriders as a guest coach in 2000 before joining the team as Receivers Coach in 2001. During histenure with the Riders, Kearse played a key role with the early development of standout receivers Derick Armstrong, Matt Dominguez, Andy Fantuz andJamel Richardson. He also worked with 1,000-yard receivers Travis Moore and Eric Guliford.

    He would remain in Saskatchewan until he was hired by the Montreal Alouettes as their Receivers Coach in 2007. In 2007, the Alouettes boasted tworeceivers with over 1,000 yards (Ben Cahoon 1,127 and Kerry Watkins 1,092).

    Prior to his tenure with the Roughriders, Kearse served three seasons as offensive coordinator and assistant head coach with the Victoria Rebels of theBCJFL and was also an assistant coach with the Balfour Redmen from 1994-1996.

    As a player, Kearse spent time with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (1983-84, 1988) as well as the NFLs Detroit Lions (1986) and Indianapolis Colts(1987). He was originally an 11th round draft choice of the NFLs San Diego Chargers in 1983 after an outstanding collegiate career at San Jose State.At SJSU, he was named a two-time all-American and was inducted into the schools football Hall of Fame after setting several school records.

    Kearse spent 2008-09 as a counselor and sports performance teacher at Highwood High School in High River, Alberta while also running NexlevelSports. In the off-season, Kearse resides in Calgary, Alberta with his wife, Susan, and daughter Ciana. He has two other daughters, Tiffany andDemechia.

    KHARI JONES QUARTERBACKS COACH

    Before joining the Tiger-Cats coaching staff as quarterbacks coach, Khari Jones enjoyed a decorated eight-year Canadian Football League career whichbegan in 1998 with the B.C. Lions. After two seasons as a back-up quarterback in B.C., Jones was dealt to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers prior to the 2000season.

    Jones became the Bombers starting pivot midway through the 2000 season and would go on to establish himself among the CFLs elite quarterbacks andone of the top pivots in Blue Bomber history. In five seasons with Winnipeg, Jones would re-write the Bombers record book, setting several team recordsincluding most completions and passing yards in a season (382 and 5,334 in 2002) and most consecutive 3,000-yard passing seasons (four). In 2001 and2002, Jones led the league in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and passing completions. He was named an East Division All-Star in 2001 and 2002and a CFL All-Star in 2001.

    His greatest season came in 2001, when he led the Bombers to a 14-4 regular season record and a Grey Cup appearance after completing 329 of 546pass attempts for 4,545 yards and 30 touchdowns. Jones would be awarded the CFLs Most Outstanding Player award for his performance. After four anda half seasons in Winnipeg, Jones was dealt to the Calgary Stampeders in September of 2004. He would join the Tiger-Cats on July 26, 2005 and record406 passing yards, one passing touchdown and four rushing touchdowns in eight games.

    Jones attended training camp with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2006 before joining CBCs broadcast team in June.

    Following his stint at CBC, Jones became Director of Football at National Sports Development, a sport development and conditioning training companybased in Calgary.

    JOHN KROPKE DEFENSIVE LINE COACH

    Kropke joins the Tiger-Cats following a two-year stint as defensive line coach with the Montreal Alouettes.

    Prior to his time in Montreal, Kropke spent the 2005 season overseeing the defensive line with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Under Kropkes guidance,defensive end Gavin Walls earned the CFL Rookie of the Year award as well as a spot on the West Division and CFL All-Star teams after an outstanding12-sack campaign.

    Kropke began his coaching career in 2001 at Illinois Eureka College where he served as the linebackers coach for one season before spending the nextfour seasons as defensive line coach.

    As a player, Kropke enjoyed a nine-year CFL career with the Ottawa Rough Riders, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and the Saskatchewan Roughridersbefore retiring in 1997. During his career, he was named an East Division All-Star four times.

    BRAD MILLER SECONDARY COACH

    Brad Miller brings over twenty years of coaching experience, including nine in the Canadian Football League, to the Tiger-Cats coaching staff asHamilton's new secondary coach.

    Most recently, Miller served as the Toronto Argonauts linebackers coach in 2008.

    For two seasons, from 2006 to 2007, the Pasadena, California native oversaw the Montreal Alouettes defensive line and was also Assistant Head Coachto Jim Popp in 2007.

    Prior to his stint with the Als, Miller spent five seasons, from 2001 to 2005, with the NFLs Green Bay Packers as both a defensive and special teamsassistant. During Millers tenure, the Packers captured three division titles and made four playoff appearances.

    Miller began his CFL coaching career as linebackers coach with the Birmingham Barracudas in 1995 before moving on to the Edmonton Eskimos, wherehe served as a defensive assistant for four seasons, before being named the teams defensive coordinator and assistant head coach in 2000. UnderMillers tutelage, linebacker Willie Pless was named the CFLs Most Outstanding Defensive Player for four consecutive seasons (1994-97). Miller alsooversaw the Eskimos defensive line in 1996, when Edmonton recorded the third-highest quarterback sack total in CFL history.

    His coaching career began in 1986 with Riverside Community College where he remained until he joined the staff at Portland State University in 1994.

    Miller also organized the first Varsity Stars game in 2000, which later evolved into the CIS East-West Bowl.

    Before joining the coaching ranks, Miller was a defensive back and a tight end at Oregon State University.

    Brad and his wife, Lisa, have two sons, Anselmo Robert and Elijah David, and one daughter, Alexis.

    DWAYNE CAMERON ASSISTANT COACH, SPECIAL TEAMS & DEFENCE

    Dwayne Cameron joins the Tiger-Cats staff after six seasons on the coaching staff at Wilfrid Laurier as the Golden Hawks Strength and Conditioning &Defensive Backs Coach.

    Prior to joining Wilfrid Laurier, Cameron served as defensive coordinator at St. James High School in Guelph and also served as the interim strength andconditioning coach for the NBAs Toronto Raptors in 2002.

    GUEST COACH BIOGRAPHIES

    DONNAVAN CARTER

    Carter is currently the Defensive Coordinator at the University of Toronto. Before joining the coaching ranks, Carter spent eight years in the CFL as alinebacker with the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Ottawa Rough Riders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He was named a team captain anddefensive MVP during his collegiate career at Northern Illinois.

    BLAIR THOMPSON

    Thompson is currently the Running Backs Coach with the Regina Rams. He has also served as a guest coach with the Ticats in 2009 and Saskatchewan

    Roughriders at their 2004 and 2005 training camps. He played with the Regina Rams for four seasons, capturing three Canadian championships beforebeginning his coaching career at the high school level and led the Thom Trojans to three provincial championships.
