Ambient Lighting

Lighting throughout an areawhichproduces general illumination. Theappropriate Halo recessed fixtures areavailable with either incandescent orHID lampsto providewide patterns oflight distribution f or this purpose.

lncandescent or high intensitydischarge luminairescan be used for

general downlighting. By using aconcentrated or "pojnl source" lamp,in conjunction with sophisticatedreflectors and batfles, lhe light isdirected downward through lowbrightness apertures to g|e unilomillunination. These unils direct light in

It All Starts With Lamps

Halo lighting tixtures are optically

designed to producethe greatest effi-ciency. Lamps, refleclors and lenses

are carefully blended togetherto pro-

duceoplimum lumen output and low

aperture brightness.

Incandescent Lamps

lncandescent lamps arethe mosl popu-

larbecausethey are easy to insta landare relalively inexpensive. And, iheyare available in awide rangeofwattages.

Their overall color rendering characteristics are excellent.

lncandescent lamps have strong com-

mercial application in the areasofaccent lighting, downlighting and tasklighting.

They are available in manytypestofitmost lighting applications.

General Service or lncandescent "A"

Lamps are the moslcommonly used.

They are availade upto300 wallsandnormally havean average raled lifeof750 hours (extended life lamps are also

offered). General service lamps with an

inside frosled finish are recommended.

i -et R Lamps

R or Reflector Lamps have built in

refleclors. They are mostetficient in

luminaireswith partialornoopticalcon-trol. R lampscan be used forcommer'cial general lighting needs, displaylighting, wa lwashing and supplemen'tary lighting. The R lamp has less pre-

cise beam controland is lessexpensivethan PAR amps. R lamps havetypicalrated lifeof 2,000 hours.

PAR Lamps

Parabolic lamps are directional light

sourceswith br.rilt-in reflectors for beam

control. They are extremely eilicient in

uminaireswhich do not have buiit.in

opticalcontrol. They are available in awide range ofwattages and beam

spreads. Applications include general

downlighting, accent and displaylighting. Average rated life is2,000
