Specifications
• Steel construction with chrome plating
• Size ranges from 36” and 11lbs to 30” and 9 lbs
• 3 working ends– 6” Fork– 6” Adz– 6” Pike
• Hooligan is a three piece halligan– The fork and the adz end is
pressed and pinned onto the shaft.
– The fork is a little longer

Use
• Forcible entry– Prying, purchase point
etc
• Generally used in conjunction with the flat head axe
• Can be used in conjunction with a sledge hammer– “Commercial irons”

Maintenance
• Check for burrs and cracks– File any burrs down with a bastard file
• Sharpen all working ends– Avoid over sharpening
• Wash with mild soap and water, dry thoroughly
• Add thin coat of oil

Safety
• Wear appropriate PPE– Minimum of helmet, gloves, and eye protection
• Full turnouts and SCBA are required when utilizing tool in an IDLH atmosphere or when making entry into a possible IDLH atmosphere
• Check surroundings prior to using tool• Ensure the tool is the right tool for the job• Utilize proper hand placement to avoid the
“pinch-point”
