We started the Hall in March 2015 with the purpose of promotingpoetry and similar literary works globally. There is so much

unexplored talent in the world that needs to be discovered. Wehave explored so many poetic forms from poetic collaborationsto creating our own poetic styles to Poetic riddles and Poem of

the Hall which is a poem collectively created by the members ofthe Hall. Among various themes, we have explored many

innovative themes including 'Themes of extremes', 'RainbowContests', 'Contests based on Prompts', which are both

innovative as well as enjoyable both in the Hall as well as in theHall Of Poets international e-zine,

Eight months and I feel we have really travelled some distance

in this direction and yet to travel more.

The Hall is a place of inspiration, a place to grow. You

come across some poetry or articles that influence

your living, your thinking or maybe the way you are

feeling in some way or the other. It is a place where

people of all places, religion, orientation, culture

come together as a family. It is amazing to know that

human thought and feelings can be so relatable. It is

above boundaries and differences. It is divine.

"ROSES & RHYMES" - A SUCCESS STORY

"It just happened, all of a sudden , with a lightening speed. Time was less and one byone, day after the other we were climbing steps to eventually reach there and finally

we reached." , says Dr. Prerna Singla, Editor Impact 005.

The success story of Roses & Rhymes started when in a quest to do an anthologyproject, five complete strangers from different parts of India came together on a

social Networking Platform. Dr. Prerna Singla, Rupam Goswami, Waseem A Malla,Kalpana B Shah and Farha Naz, the 5 editors founded the group named "Impact 005"

and the only thing keeping them connected was a phone and an aim.

Roses & Rhymes, an anthology of Poetry on love andlife was launched this January 21st, in Lodhi Garden,New Delhi. It was a dream come true for the editors of

Impact005 who on a virtual platform came togetherand turned this dream to a reality. The Book was

beautifully designed by Pulkit Mohan Singla, JointEditor Hall of Poets, and received a lot of appreciation

for the same.

The Book soon reached Amazon's No. 1 best-sellersand later among the Top 10's in poetry. Within a week

of it's launch Roses & Rhymes hit the out of stocktarget, with only Limited Editions available now, with

the Editor.

Dr. Prerna Singla, Editorinchief of Hall of Poets; Rupam Goswami, Editorinchief  The Guwahatian ;  Waseem AMalla, Founding editor of eMag. Fragrance ;

Kalpana B Shah, Freelance writer and author of Kalpana's Imagination; Farha naz, Management PostGradHuman Resources working in IIT Allahabad.

Working started with long process of Blind selections done to keep it honest andtransparent. The poems were compiled randomly with author names removed, wereread through and voted five times by each of the editors. The poems with maximum

votes were then selected. This way there was no discrimination on the basis of name, caste, religion, region, acquaintance or any other basis. After the primary selections

were done, the poems were compiled, this time with their authors named and eachpoem went through five staged editing process. It was only after that, that the final

manuscript was prepared.

The time was short and other chores demanded attention as well. "Work was to bedone, anyhow, so we took turns one by one.", says Dr. Prerna Singla.

The enthusiasm with the first project was so much that nothing ordinary would satisfythe editors taste for book design and so at last when everything else failed, they asked

Pulkit Mohan Singla to design a few templates for their book and then finally reached apoint where they had a common majority for a design in sweet purple tailored by Pulkitspecially suiting the theme of their Anthology. And so, the design of Roses & Rhymes

became a reality. "Great cover!!..one of the best I have seen till now..This willcertainly get an international boost.", said Daipayan Nair, Dr. Prerna's close friend and

contributing author of Roses & Rhymes.

The Book was attracting positivity and love of the readers but the launch was still far.A good number of Pre-bookings were made by the readers. Behind the curtains, the

Editors were insomniac, working almost all night Proof reading, tallying, line by line, word by word, again and again each of the verse to make sure there was no mistake. The launch was due in five days and the book was still being proof-read. "The tension

was high. My family and friends regularly complained that I have no time for them andI was really short of time at that moment. But I had full support from my family to an

extent that my brother was cooking so that I can keep working.", says Dr. PrernaSingla.

Page 11: HALL OF POETS, ISSUE 09, JAN. 2016

While butterflies of myriad hues – the commontiger, the blue tiger, the common crow, flitted

around with a reckless abandon, the leavesrustled congratulatory greetings, and a

magnanimous sun added its warmth to thewarmth spread by wonderful people like

Umashankar Yadav, owner of SerenePublishers. Roses and Rhymes was launched

amidst a lot of boisterous bonhomie, andchirpy camaraderie. There was poetry in the

air.

But alas, some melodious notes, namely,Kalpana Shah and DrPrerna Singla weremissing- and that, needless to say, was

intensely jarring. I had been keenly lookingforward to meeting them.

The team of Impact had already started the promotions. Open invitations for theLaunch were sent everywhere on the social media platforms as well as personally to

near and dear ones. A formal launch was planned, but then later changed to aninnovative launch in a natural ambience where the roof was the wide sky, the Sun wasthe shining lights, the grass was the carpeted floor, the chirping birds was the beautifulmusic, the cool winter breeze was the Air Conditioner... Yes! The venue finally selected

was Lodhi Garden in New delhi. The chief guests Kulpreet Yadav, Santosh bakaya,Yaseen Anwar and Sujata Parashar graced the event with their presence. The event

was hosted by Serene Publishers and Dr. Waseem A. Malla (Editor R&R)

Besides this impeccably designed book ROSES & RHYMES, the cover of 'Roshni haimagar andhera hai' , was also launched and Life Nama, a bi- lingual anthology of

poetry was re-launched.

It was at Gate no. 1 that I met a young girl, who, I, later came to know was ManishaBhatia, a charming poetess and marketing professional from ,Faridabad , Haryana ,

whose intensely poignant poem , VAPASI ,forms part of Life Nama .

The feisty birds applauded, the clouds drifted lower in curiosity, the cool breeze sangaway, serenading us, and the tombs of Lodi Gardens watched on with a cool

detachment. It was indeed a unique book launch, where nature reflected the happyglow on the faces of the audience.

It was wonderful meeting Sujata Parashar, Yaseen Anwar, Kulpreet Yadav, whoenlightened us with nuggets of their literary experience and swamped us with their

charm. Kulpreet Yadav graciously gave me an autographed copy of his novel, The Girlwho loved a Pirate, which I am about to finish reading.

I had a wonderful interaction with Bushra Razaak , and clicked lots of pics together .And yes, it was great meeting you too, Angsuman Das .

“Alas! I am done. I am doneAnd here I go, in search of a cage which could fetch me their love – a caged love!” As

she finished, I could almost hear the applausive chirps from the avian fraternity.Sufficiently enriched by the mental fodder, we were now graciously lead by the

charming hosts towards India Habitat center where we would be treated to some morefodder – this time to satiate the hunger pangs.

It was time to launch into eating.I had already started feeling nostalgic.

When I started from Bangalore, I had pictured theevent in mind. From the mails I had received, I couldget just a faint idea about it. A very formal, well-

planned event, I thought it was. I was prepared for thelong hours of speech from the presiding writers. Ireached Delhi the night before, and with least

expectations of being noticed in the crowd the nextday, I went to sleep. I came early to the venue owing tothe fact that it is a must-visit place, especially duringthe winter. No one other than Dr. Waseem was there. Iwas perplexed. I had come with my family. Since the

uncertainty about the function was even more this time,we went for a walk. The event was scheduled at 12.30,

and we still had couple of hours left.

I could meet up with a couple of other co-poets by then. None of us had any clue on how orwhen the event would happen. We waited, but not for long. We were guided to a totally

amazing place inside the garden. Totally contradictory to our expectations, the lucky 20 wereinvited to be seated on the carpets. The most adorable, renowned writers and poets sat along.I was mesmerized by the way the launch was happening. Most importantly, I got a chance totalk to them, know the depths of poetry, which would not have happened if it was a formal

event. I felt blessed to have got a chance to recite my own poem, before the reverend guests

Page 14: HALL OF POETS, ISSUE 09, JAN. 2016

When Waseem Malla invited me for the launch ofRoses and Rhymes, I did not think twice before

committing to attend. After all, who would give upthe chance of being in the beautiful environs of

Delhi's Lodi Gardens on a beautiful winter afternoon. Also, I was enthralled with the idea of a launch eventheld in the open. I just had to go! The spot chosen was

a secluded one, tucked away in a corner of thegardens without the disturbance of tourists and noisy

vistors So there we were, under the sun, upon thegrass and among the flowers with butterflies and

birds flitting around and adding to the ambience ofthe afternoon.

The idea of having a launch event in the open was unique and I must congratulate MrUmashankar Yadav and the entire team from Serene Publishers who came all the way

from Ahmedabad to Delhi to put together such a delightful event. Their, originality, humility, graciousness and hospitality are worthy mentioning.

Roses and Rhymes and Lifenama, two poetry anthologies were launched against thebackdrop of Muhammad Shah Sayyid’s Tomb. The cover page of Ramakant Yadav's

Roshni Hai magar Andhera Hai was also unveiled.

The audience was enriched by the presence of Santosh Bakaya, Yaseen Anwer,Kulpreet Yadav and Sujata Parashar, stars in the field of poetry and writing, who

shared their insights into the world of writing and poetry. An interesting discussiontook place as we debated whether pyaar and mohabbat were one and the same emotionor if they differed in their intensity. Waseem Malla then went on to enlighten us aboutthe seven stages of love and how it transcends from platonic to the physical and then

spiritual love.

As is the norm, this book launch also gave a chance to the poets, many of whom hadcome from afar, to read their poems in front of an appreciative audience. I was

absolutely impressed with the quality of poems in the anthology and the passionaterecitations. Waseem Malla held the gathering spellbound with the rendering of his

ghazal, Bichhadne waale bata ki karna hai raabton ko bahaal kaise. Manisha Bhatia’spoem Waapsi, based on the Peshawar attack of Dec 16, 2014 was so heart wrenching it

made me moist eyed. The use of the word ‘tabut’ (coffin) ‘Yun to tabut mein akele lagtahai dar’ left me with a feeling of helplessness and despair that stuck on for days. Goodpoetry is one that creates images in your mind as you read and touches you at many

levels and the poems in the book do just that.I look forward to reading all the other poems at leisure. My very best wishes to the

publishers and all the participating poets. More power to your pen!

Cheers!

Dear Anca Mihaela Bruma,

First of all congratulations for your book “The light of our Beingness-I am that you are”. We wish you a huge success.

The Light of Our

Beingness

Q1 Tell us more about your book. Basically what is it all about and how you aim tomake an impact on the world by way of your poems and ART?

Answer: “The Light of Our Beingness – I Am That You Are!” it is a collection of poetrytogether with some coloured paintings by the Romanian painter Dorina Costras

Through the art of writing I experience wonder during my continuous attempt tograsp the truth, however there is no ultimate truth to be achieved. The book

emphasizes the idea of interconnectedness, achieved through spiritual intelligenceand consciousness. Being open to wonder and awe, you may reach for possibilities ofbeing or I shall say being-ness, as I see art as primarily an experience to openness,

cherishing the sacred wonder, our authentic core. The writings through theiraesthetic patterns reveal and underline that multiplicity is organized into wholeness,

completeness. I consider any form of art as liberating, and a way to respond to yourcore, an artistic exuberance and a continuous process of unconditionally loving

yourself through empathy and harmonious inter-subjectivity.

Page 22: HALL OF POETS, ISSUE 09, JAN. 2016

“I am not seeking the findingas I do not find the seeking…

Still…You see yourself outside you!I see you inside myself… (…)

Future selvesor…

secret second selves, connecting derivative patternsand mathematical probabilities

in a Pythagorean sphereof harmony.” (“When I found the Love Footprints”)

Q2 As you write about your poetic works, you mention that they are “Mystic” writes, or more oftouches the spiritual side of the being. What is “Your” definition of Spiritual awakening?? How

would you say a person is spiritually awakened?

KNOW thyself! Being aware of your own self, your own essence, of the profound mystery, theineffable, knowing beyond the knowledge, becoming aware of realities within yourself, shiftingfrom externality towards internality and allowing yourself to explore the multidimensionality of

your own being, expanding your human potentiality and fulfilling life in every aspect:“No metalogic…

nor extralanguage…You rose above the canon of False and True

passing through the song and rhythmof your own life (…)” (Agape)

The human brain is used to receive defined explanations for features we are able tosee/observe, however, if these features are opened to various interpretations and new assignedvalues across wide landscapes of reality, then thinking, defining and describing in only one way,is already misguiding (““If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear toman as it is, Infinite.” (William Blake); “There are things known and there are things unknown,

and in between are the doors of perception” (Aldoux Huxley)

Q3 Do you believe that God is incomprehensible, and can never be comprehended? If youbelieve that God can be comprehended, then in which form do you comprehend? What is the

basis for your comprehension?

Knowing of and knowing about is one thing… but knowing God is totally different, and no matterhow much literature is out there, or how many pretences are made, noone in truth can say they

truly know the incomprehensible, though they may catch glimpses of it. The verb to“comprehend” is already out of the equation, it implies the logical mind, and according to manyseers it can be felt, not really comprehended. It is said it can be “known” through the wisdom ofyour own heart, and not be reduced to knowledge, to a hypothesis and a formula like H2O. All

searching will remain rational, all seeking will be based in the mind.

Page 23: HALL OF POETS, ISSUE 09, JAN. 2016

“You cannot see that which is the Seer of seeing, you cannot hear that which is theHearer of hearing, you cannot think of that which is the Thinker of thought, you

cannot know that which is the Knower of knowledge.” (Brhadaranyaka Upanishad :III. 4. 2.)

“You are the One,the Knower of my knowing

the speechmaker of my utterancesthe petitioner of my adulations…

I am the Self, multiple manifestation of multitudes,

a dualistic unity immanently within itself,the Life-Ying,

the Reality-Yang!… (“Gnostic Sagacity”)

Q4 In this so called “cynical” world where nothing runs without money and everypossible step is taken to earn money, how far or how impactful is mysticism over

cynicism or worldliness?

Answer: During these transitory times and moments of seemingly insurmountableadversity, still we are offered a choice: to deny the change therefore the challenge or

to embrace it and be transformed. If we are able to overcome the division: this is me and the rest is someone else or

something else, if we can understand that what I accumulate is mine but never can beme, moving from the paradigm: “I have therefore I am” towards “I AM therefore I

have”, when we can experience inclusiveness and yourself as the other person’s self, then we should be able to “to peer” beyond “the optical illusion of everyday life”

(Einstein)“I am not here to trade anymore

the cosmic runes and liquid dreams,as Universe stumbles into its own photons…

I am here to renounce my own spectrumwith all its refracted words, rhythms and

sensationalized perfect imperfections…” (“Cyberspaced Truths”)

If we do not interpret mysticism in the “traditional” way, as being a way to explore thefaith within a religion/dogma, but seeing it from a different angle. Various stages inthe human development have brought about various stages of evolvement in human

consciousness.I personally consider all artists and all forms of art as a powerful expression ofmysticism, not necessary expressed through words, in much the same way that

mystic artists need their introversion time, to imply all their senses, to “enter” thatstage of ecstasy and rapture; both mystics and artists encounter other “realities” from

where they gain insights, accessing different realms of experiences. For me art is ameans of meditation, leading the mind inwards, transferring attention from the

material thing to the immaterial idea.

Page 24: HALL OF POETS, ISSUE 09, JAN. 2016

Heidegger said that the greatest, art “grounds history” by “allowing truth to springforth” and “art is the becoming and happening of truth”. According to him great

artworks helps establish the implicit ontology and ethics through which an historicalcommunity understands itself and its world, therefore its consciousness: “all art is

essentially poetry, bringing something that is, into the open.”

Q5 If you have the power to change something in the world, what would you like tochange and why?

Answer: Art develops the consciousness and when creative art is truly inspired, itcomes close to being sacred. If there is something I would love to restore, it is the love

for art, as it creates a predisposition for a better world, with greater empathy andunity. Through the practice of art a person may come closer to his/her soul than

through occultism or other practices.

Q6 I have read many poetic works on love, nature, betrayal/heart break are the mostcommon themes written about. The topic you write is very unique. What is the

inspiration behind choosing such a topic?? Is it your interest in mysticism or have youpersonally experienced it in life? Please share your experience with us.

Answer: For me poetry is an opportunity to explore and navigate the multiple aspectsof being, rather than the various ways of doing; to reveal agapism by not trusting thefragmentation and plurality of the logical mind, to enlighten disenchanted thinking,

in favour of multiplicity, indeterminacy by rejecting the limited disciplinaryboundaries.

The expression “I Am That You Are” shows that multiple selves are not to be seen asdiscontinuous fragments, a fragmented ontology, but as a holistic visualization of our

own selves interconnected and detached from the analytical discourse of the mind.“When I found the Love footprints

the absence became present, and… I know:

I am pre-sent to BEin this everlastingness fate

which sounds like a formula.

No heart geometrics,nor inner alphabets…

Simply,a sense of nothingness

in your everyness…” (“When I found the Love Footprints”)

A relationship of any kind is not seen as being fractured and fragmented, but asidentifiable with another, not as a concoction of disassociated beings but as an

ontological holism. Within this “state” there is a complexity of interrelations andprocesses which leads to growth and and healing (Note: the etymology of the word

Page 25: HALL OF POETS, ISSUE 09, JAN. 2016

“to heal” (from “Heilen” in German, and “Kailo” as an Indo-European root) refers tothe state and process of wholeness). This flowing wholeness which is constantly

enfolding and unfolding, is the fundamental order in the universe which allows us totranscend fragmentation, as everything is in a state of process or becoming in an

universal influx during this process of explicating and implicating as aholomovement.

“In this timeless ethereality wheresilences built converted assonances

and gravitational elapses,I breathe your unspoken space

Within my pollinated reflections…” (“Ethereal Awareness”)

My poems do not present a static wholeness but a dynamic one, in a continuousmotion in this inter-connected process, a cosmological undivided wholeness in an

undivided totality. The force of Love allows this interconnection to be total, movingfrom the “law of the individual” the “law of the whole”, the focus being on the

internality rather than the externality of the things. This totality continually formsand dissolves as part of the universal flux, an enfolding-unfolding consciousness, as

everything is part of a single unified whole.“Me…

andYou…

Without yesterdays and tomorrows, just conjugated by the verb

of Today!…” (“Drink deeply From My Soul”)

The transpersonal self, also called “the real self” is attuned to the relational nature ofreality to the “Love-Life” energy, and a significant amount of self-transformation

takes place during this creative self-understanding which ultimately leads towardsself-healing.

“Drink deeply from my soul and let questions come in …and fall outof this Existence!….

See the Beauty beyond the Beauty, let your breath sing different

sizes of Life (…)

Let the flavour of your BeingnessExplode into this Existence!” (“Drink deeply From My Soul”)

I believe in the revelation and power of the word, as a metaphysical insight, atranscendent act, beyond the potentiality of the human condition, and this is not to be

confused with individualized knowing.

Q7 We all come from different countries, speak different language, have differentcultures but still are able to connect by way of Art, creativity, music, poetry. Do you

feel that belonging to different places has an impact on Art??

Art is a language known to everyone, and multiple cultures, multiple “voices” add toits beauty. The challenge lies in how a so called “total artist” is able and creative

enough to combine them, to take parts from various cultures and create somethingwhich is harmonious and meaningful for the rest, emphasizing unity as opposed to

division.

Q8 As a spiritual being how do we connect to the universe?

“In the world there are many different roads but the destination is the same. Thereare a hundred deliberations but the result is one” (Confucius). The so called “Truth” isto be found along many “paths”, and at any moment anyone can choose the direction

which answers their heart’s beckoning at certain stages in life. Simply having“awareness” is the key, and how someone applies this differs from one individual to

another. In our pluralistic society everyone will have pluralistic hypotheses and willinterpret the world in their own way, deciding what is “True” or “False” according totheir own convictions. For each human being on this earth there is a learning curve, and each being has to find their own experience – this would be their wisest act. Themore I have read, the more I have realized (who) I am. I have come to terms with the

fact that I know that I do not know.

Where substantial diversity exists, of course there is substantial differentiation. To answer your question, there is no ready-made formula on how to connect with theuniverse. Someone could be simply in awareness and believe he/she is in connection

with the divine, with the ultimate Reality, with the Real. It could be a conflicting truthsystem for others but the “reality” for someone, therefore a vast chasm in their belief

systems.

Q9 Tell us about your second book? What is the title of the book and what is it allabout?

The second book, named “I am! Within You –Without You!” has the same principle“‘My humanity is inextricably bound up in yours.’ We belong in a bundle of life”

(“Ubuntu”, the African philosophy of life)It is the same approach with “The Light of Our Beingness – I Am That You Are!”talking of mindfulness thorough the alchemy of Love, a life juxtaposed with the

infinite of the universe, a depiction about “Unione Mystica” (mystical union), loversliving a continuum verb, inside an unravelled universe.
