Circle 1000 extends a special thank you to all those on Hoag’s staff who assisted at the Founders’ Brunch and in the publication of this newsletter.

Circle 1000 raised more than $409,000 Circle 1000 donors simply never give up in the fight against cancer – and the results are nothing short of thrilling. More than $409,000 was raised this year, bringing Circle 1000’s 13-year grand total to $3.5 million.

This year’s donations have been allocated as follows:

$250,000 The Cell Biology Lab for the continued development of today’s new treatments and tomorrow’s new frontiers.

$125,000 The second installment of Circle 1000’s $500,000 pledge of support toward cancer- related services at Hoag’s forthcoming Women’s Pavilion.

$10,000 Hoag Cancer Center’s Endowment for Cancer Research.

The 13th Annual Founders’ Brunch was a huge success thanks to all our heartfelt and generous donors. Nearly 500 supporters attended the event at the Four Seasons Hotel, where Broadway, film and television star, Barbara Barrie gave an honest yet humorous account of her life experienc-es in coping with colon cancer and a colostomy. Her energy and enthusiasm represent living proof that life can be good following cancer and its treatments.

Construction will begin soon on a new seven-story, 309,000-square-foot Women’s Pavilion that will serve as the heart of Hoag Hospital’s main cam-pus. This new pavilion will redefine healthcare in this community by offer-ing a single destination that meets the diverse health needs that women face at each stage of life. The pavilion will also include state-of-the-art operating rooms and post-surgical floors for both men and women.

Circle 1000 has pledged a half-million dollars toward cancer-related services that will be offered in the Women’s Pavilion’s new Breast Care and Imaging Center. In addition, many Circle 1000 donors have already made personal lead gifts to the campaign for this new center.

Construction will begin soon on a new seven-story, 309,000-square-foot Women’s Pavilion that will serve as the heart of Hoag Hospital’s main cam-pus. This new pavilion will redefine healthcare in this community by offer-ing a single destination that meets the diverse health needs that women face at each stage of life. The pavilion will also include state-of-the-art operating rooms and post-surgical floors for both men and women.

Circle 1000 has pledged a half-million dollars toward cancer-related services that will be offered in the Women’s Pavilion’s new Breast Care and Imaging Center. In addition, many Circle 1000 donors have already made personal lead gifts to the campaign for this new center.

Circle 1000 extends a special thank you to all those on Hoag’s staff who assisted at the Founders’ Brunch and in the publication of this newsletter.

Circle 1000 raised more than $409,000 Circle 1000 donors simply never give up in the fight against cancer – and the results are nothing short of thrilling. More than $409,000 was raised this year, bringing Circle 1000’s 13-year grand total to $3.5 million.

This year’s donations have been allocated as follows:

$250,000 The Cell Biology Lab for the continued development of today’s new treatments and tomorrow’s new frontiers.

$125,000 The second installment of Circle 1000’s $500,000 pledge of support toward cancer- related services at Hoag’s forthcoming Women’s Pavilion.

$10,000 Hoag Cancer Center’s Endowment for Cancer Research.

The 13th Annual Founders’ Brunch was a huge success thanks to all our heartfelt and generous donors. Nearly 500 supporters attended the event at the Four Seasons Hotel, where Broadway, film and television star, Barbara Barrie gave an honest yet humorous account of her life experienc-es in coping with colon cancer and a colostomy. Her energy and enthusiasm represent living proof that life can be good following cancer and its treatments.
