Special MachiningM

Where extremely high precision is required, Strack is thespecialist for special machining.

We offer you Strack standard parts on request inpreworked and finished forms. These include, for example, milled pockets, slide guides, machined recesses, deep-drilled holes and jig grinding.

Especially in the case of complex plate machiningoperations, it is recommendable to carry out roughmachining or preworking of the milled pockets and slidesand also the machined recesses before the guide boresare made. In this way it is possible to compensate forstresses released by the complex machining before thebores for the guide system are made.

Consequently, cavities and the guide system can bemade to match one another with extreme accuracy. Onlyin this way can the highest precision of the mould beachieved.

To be able to carry out especially difficult machiningoperations, we use powerful CNC machining centres, jigboring machines, milling and grinding machines and jiggrinding machines. Important prerequisites for precisionand quality.

The efficient performance of the working and finishingoperations on our high-performance installations createnew capacities for your plant. The outsourcing meansmore productivity for you, lower investments and greatercertainty. Special machining operations are standard forus. All we need for special machining is a correspondingdrawing, which you can send us by email or on a datacarrier. And the special service provided by Strack is thatall documents submitted are checked meticulously toensure they conform to one another before productionproceeds.

Heat Transfer Rods are designed to heat or cool cones, slides and inserts. Heat Transfer Rods conducttemperature over 10,000 times faster than copper.

Heat Transfer Rods operate best when 50% of the overall length is cooled using a water flow. +0.1 to +0.2mmshould be up on the rod diameter for the correct fitment. Fitment hole should be drilled.

Overview and ApplicationsThe MVG (Manifold Valve Gate) system is ideal for all applications whichrequire high speed, sequential filling or highly cosmetic gates. Due to itsmultiple gating options and lack of material traps it will operate with themost demanding materials. The MVG is designed for easy installationdue to simple mounting in the backplate with integral airways.

FeaturesMould Design• Ability for close nozzle spacing. Minimal pitching is 75mm (can be

modified to fit 58mm pitching)• Backplates can be as thin as 55mm• Easy machining of the pockets• Pneumatic circuit is integrated with the backplateOperation• MVG is available for MX series and BX series nozzles• Reduced moulding pressure • Increased moulding window• Lower mould filling stress results in better part quality• Reduced gate cooling requirementsInstallation and Maintenance• Easy machining and installation• Easy pin adjustment and seal replacement while the mould remains
