This past summer marked Jack EverlysHollywoodBowldebut.EverlyistheMusicDirectorofDukeEnergyYuletideCelebration,nowa26year tradition. Originally appointed byMikhail Baryshnikov,Mr. Everly was conductor of theAmericanBalletTheatre for 14 years,wherehe served asMusicDirector. In addition tohisABTtenure, he has teamed with Marvin Hamlisch in Broadway shows that Mr. Hamlisch scored,

including The Goodbye Girl, Theyre Playing Our Song and A Chorus Line. He conducted CarolChanninghundredsof times inHello,Dolly! in twoseparateBroadwayproductions. Inaddition toconducting the Memorial Day and Capital Fourth Concerts, Jack Everly has appeared on InPerformance at theWhiteHouse on PBS and conducted the songs for the Disney soundtrack, TheHunchbackofNotreDame. In1998, JackEverlycreated theSymphonicPopsConsortium,servingasMusicDirector. TheConsortium, based in Indianapolis, produces a new theatrical pops programeach season. Hismostrecentbook,RoleModels,publishedbyFarrar,StrausandGiroux inMay,2010appearedonbestsellerlistsfortheNewYorkTimes,TheLosAngelesTimes,theSanFranciscoChronicleandtheBostonGlobe.WatersisamemberofTheAcademyofMotionPictureArtsandSciencesandisonTheWexnerCenterInternationalArtsAdvisoryCouncil.Additionally,heisapastmemberoftheboardsofTheAndyWarholFoundationandPrintedMatterandwasselectedasajurorforthe2011VeniceBiennale.MickyDolenz(WilburTurnblad)MickyDolenzwasborninLosAngelesonMarch8,1945.Hefirstestablishedhimselfasaperformeratage10when,underthestagenameofMickyBraddock,hestarredinhisfirstTVseries,CircusBoy,whichairedfrom1956to1958.Inautumn1965,Mickywasoneof400applicantswhorespondedtoatradeadannouncingauditionsforanewTVshowaboutarockband.MickyauditionedforTheMonkeesTVshowplayingChuckBerrysJohnnyB.Goodeandwaschosenalongwiththreeotheractors Davy Jones,MichaelNesmith, andPeterTork.TheMonkeesdebut single, LastTrain toClarksville, featuringMicky on lead vocals, hit the charts September 10, 1966, and rocketed tonumberone.Twodays later, the televisionshowdebutedonNBC togreatsuccess.TheTVratingsremainedhighfortwoseasonsandMickyandthebandstarredintheirownfeaturefilm,Head,a1968psychedelicrompcowrittenbyayoungJackNicholson.Themovieisnowconsideredacultclassic.The show alsowon an Emmy for Best Comedy Series.
