are only a trial (fitnah). And Allah - With Him is a great reward (Paradise).“
"And know that your possessions and your children are but a trial (fitnah) and that surely with Allah is a mighty reward." [Surah al-Anfal, 28]
HadithHadith“A son of Adam becomes old but
two things in him become young: greed for wealth and greed for more life.”
HadithHadith"If a son of Adam were to own a
valley full of gold, he would desire to have two. Nothing can fill his mouth except the earth (of the grave). Allah turns with mercy to him who turns to Him in repentance".
HadithHadith“Allah does not look at your
appearance or wealth but looks at your heart and actions.”
HadithHadith“What is little but sufficient is
better than that which is abundant but causes heedlessness.”

and do not look to those above you, lest you view the favors of Allah (upon you) as trivial.”

gold and silver which you hoarded will be heated in the Fire of Hell and with it will be branded their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, (and it will be said unto them): "This is the treasure which you hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what you used to hoard."
HadithHadith"Three things destroy, and three
things save. As for the three things that destroy, they are: greediness that is obeyed, and desires that are followed, and a person becoming self-conceited (and proud) with himself. As for the three things that save, they are: the fear of Allah in secret and public, and moderation in poverty and richness, and fairness in anger and pleasure."

HadithHadith"The two feet of the son of Adam will
not move on the Day of Judgement in front of his Lord until he is asked about five things: about his life, and how he spent it? And about his youth, what did he consume it in? And about his money, how did he earn it? And what did he spend it on? And how much did he act upon what he knew?"

What is beyond this (it is of no use to you) because you are to depart and leave it for other people.”

decrease the wealth; and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).”
