Overview

The dragonfly from WowWee Flytech :• Two degrees of freedom flyer

• Flying behaviour change with the battery’s voltage

• No possibility of stabilization

• No sensors, no information on what is happening inside

• Can control only one flyer a time

Design of the Printed Circuit Board

Critical point : the placement of the components

• Effect of every components on the other ones

– Power device

– Magnetic device

• Split of the power supply for the sensors

Conclusion

• Looking back to the goals

– Sensors

– Programming

• The main problems

– Time spent for bluetooth module

– Time spent on the electronics design

11

Conclusion

• Some possibilities as future work

– Finishing the programming tasks

– Testing the final flyer

– Working on the sensors

• Stabilisation

• Hovering

– Optimizing the PCB

– New firmware for the multipoint option

– Tracking system (sizing the InfraRed LEDs)
