SPEAKER PROFILESDr Ankur Dana is the CEO of Dana Group of Companies. He joined DANA Group’s Steel Trading & Coil Service division in July 2005, and was initially responsible for operations for the company. Since joining Dana Group, he has been instrumental in starting the Value-added Steel manufacturing division in Dana Group, and is also actively involved in strategic planning for Dana Group. Prior to his experience in the steel business, Ankur completed his bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from India, and also practiced medicine for one year. Later, he also did his Executive MBA from Dubai. In 2005, he moved to Dubai with Dana Group and joined Dana Group’s manufacturing division, and his passion for steel led him to head the Dana Group’s steel division. Azeez Narain handles the Indian Hotel Company Limited, IHCL’s footprint growth efforts in Middle-East Asia and North India regions. He has driven key projects for IHCL in the recent past such as the development of Taj Dubai – the group’s flagship luxury hospitality offering in the MENA region as well its upcoming hotels on The Palm Jumeriah and Jumeriah Lake Towers in Dubai. He started his career in the Finance sector as a Credit Analyst in Religare for 3 years, he has worked as a Financial Controller in JCDecaux India for 2 years. He found his calling in E-Commerce, when he was heading Taxi for Sure (TFS) operations for Delhi NCR (taken over by OLA in 2015). He has been instrumental in scaling TFS from 100 rides a day to 25k rides a day.
