“Preach the Gospel Always, if Necessary Use Words.” To paraphrase this famous quote from St. Francis of Assisi, partnering with or volunteering for Habitat for Humanity gives ample opportunity for people of all faiths to have a greater impact on their congregation or a neighbor in need. There is something very powerful about participating in and witnessing a wall-raising or a home dedication. Every Habitat for Humanity home is a lasting testament to how we as human beings care for each other and how God cares for us all.
The Habitat build site provides a local opportunity for congregations to
engage their members in meaningful and productive community service
for a neighbor in need of safe, decent, affordable shelter.
