Vision

The Humanitarian Affairs Club aims to be the venue for development and

strengthening of personal advocacies of its members and its targeted communities. It

aspires to transform momentary feelings of compassion into a longlasting sense of

responsibility,communityandsympathy.

Mission

To form Ateneans into socially aware, responsible and active change makers and

determinedadvocatorsofhumanitarianissues.TheHumanitarianAffairsClubalsoaimstopresentopportunitiesforitsmemberstodrawinspirationfromtheglobalenvironmentand

throughthis,effectchangebothlocallyandinternationallytobecometrulymenandwomen

forothers.

Objectives

1. Toprovidethememberstheopportunitytoengageinhumanitarianserviceinlocalandinternationalmarginalizedcommunities

Through active voluntarism and participation in local and internationalhumanitarianaffairsorientedNGOs

Through the formation and execution of projects focused on effectivelyservingmarginalizedcommunities

2. Toexposeitsmemberstoaglobalperspectiveonhumanitarianaffairsandeducatethemonsocialissues

Through participation in future University Scholars Leadership Symposiumconferences

Through seminars and talks conducted by experts in the field of globalhumanitarianissues

3. Toprovideagrowingandsustainablenetworkofsupportfordifferenthumanitarianadvocacies

ThroughtheformationofenduringpartnershipswithlocalandinternationalNGOs and universitybased organizations that have similar goals of

humanitarianservice

Through the conduction of programs and relevant projects that exposedifferenthumanitarianadvocaciestothecommunity

VicePresidentforFundraising:theofficerinchargeoftheFundraisingDepartmentwhich is tasked to generate funds for the club through fundraising projects and

sponsorships
