    The condition statement of weekly reporting member banks in leading cities shows the following principal changes for the week ended June 21, I96I: An increase of $502 million in loans adjusted; decreases of $283 million in holdings of Treasury bills, $542 million in balances with domestic banks, $833 million in demand deposits adjusted, and $1,228 million in demand deposits credited to domestic banks; and an increase of $1,962 million in U- 8. Government demand deposits.

    Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $186 million,. Loans to brokers and dealers for purchasing or carrying U. S. Government securities increased $369 million, their loans for purchasing or carrying other securities decreased $62 million. Real estate loans increased $4l million. Other loans decreased $69 million.

    Borrowings of weekly reporting member banks from Federal Reserve Banks increased $27 million and borrowings from others increased $625 million. Loans to domestic com-mercial banks increased $385 million.
