Despite our time together running short, there is still plenty of adventure to be had with the Friday Challenge!

We have around 20 challenges for you. Some are practical and some are paper based but ALL will make you think. The activities are situated around the site and you will have 3 hours to complete as many as possible. Each time you complete one your team will get a raffle ticket. Write your team number on each one, return them to the programmes tent. The winning prize ticket will be drawn during the closing ceremony. The more you do, the better your chance. Go for it!

Newshound’s World Tour Dorset’s cutest dog continues his tour.

Didn’t we have a lovely time... the day we went to Brownsea!

On Tuesday we arrived at the port. Once we boarded the boat we headed to Brownsea Island. As soon as we arrived we went to explore around the island. We saw many things, such as: Baden Powell statue, peacocks and chickens. We stopped many times to read some useful information about Baden Powell and the wildlife that surrounded him on his camp. We invested one of our scouts, Sophie Oldham, around a flag pole that was the original place that Lord Baden Powell had his flag pole. After, we went for a little trek around before we had our lunch. We had an awesome day, we learnt lots. We also met a Canadian Explorer Troop with exactly the same scarf as us. Skip has never found the same scarf in 30 years of scouting!

All the fun of the fair!

On Tuesday after lunch a (pretty

much) giant fun fair was in the African

zone. There were activities from

zorbing to skating on roller skates and

going on a bungee. It was surely the

best of all the activities!

Titanic Rafting

There were seven of us on the raft when all of the barrels slipped off. I got hold of a stray barrel and headed off to the island, linking up with Frank from Phoenix ESU. Together we made it to the island. While attempting to head back to the safety of the shore we were rescued by heroic explorers from an unknown unit. The parallel to the ‘Rose and Jack’ scene from Titanic is quite striking. “The metaphorical iceberg was the terrible lashings” commented Lucas.

Why is a woggle called a woggle?
