    liftsTHE HUMAN TOUCH

Our customers are the focus of our business. Over the last 140 years we’ve

gained a wealth of experience in all the processes involved in designing,

manufacturing, selling and installing lifts, but with one significant difference.

Our customers are always at the heart of all our business processes, from

    beginning to end.

At Stannah we’ll advise you on the most suitable lift. We’ll guide you

through the selection and planning processes; provide easy-to-use builder’s

information; liaise closely with operatives on site; explain, and satisfy, all the

relevant building regulations and directives as well as oversee an expedient

    and efficient installation.

There are two values that epitomise what you’d expect from a Stannah lift,

no matter what the budget - uncompromising reliability and safety.

    SAFE AND SOUND

Safety is the cornerstone of our business. Each and every element of our

lift system is designed and tested to ensure the highest safety

standards. Every facet of our business complies with the strict product

standards laid down in Europe today, especially EN81-2, the lift

regulations standard for the safety rules, construction and installation

of lifts. And, of course, all our lifts comply with the Disabled Access

    standard EN81-70.

Stannah is one of the few truly British Lift Manufacturers who have

achieved the International Quality Management Systems Standard

    BS EN ISO 9001-2000.

    ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE

Each and every component used in our lifts is precision engineered.

From the microprocessors used in the control systems to the steel fixings

and hydraulic pump, the build quality, reliability, durability and ease of

maintenance are properties that are always fully researched.

    DELIVERY ON TIME

Short delivery times are a Stannah speciality and our structure supported

lifts can be installed with minimal builders work on site.

    THE STANNAH DIFFERENCE

From concept to installation our outstanding customer service will make a

    difference - the Stannah difference!

    Innovations

The MRLi is a truly motor room-less lift with all the

reliability and quality you would expect from Stannah.

The additional benefit of a drive system, cleverly located

within the pit and lift shaft, simply eliminates the need for a

separate motor room. The result is reduced building,

electrical installation and operating costs, combined with

improved performance. Additional benefits include low head-

room, low pit and the option of a structure-supported shaft.

Our motor room-less innovation with proven hydraulic

technology makes the Stannah MRLi an ideal lift.

    The Stannah MRC

The MRC is a cost effective motor room-less lift with a

difference. The difference is that the drive system and

controller are housed in a cabinet which can be located on,

or recessed into, an adjacent wall, or within 6 metres of the

lift shaft at any level. This reduces the lift shaft width, savingvaluable space in your building. The MRC can also be

    supplied structure-supported.

Our passenger lift range is growing.

The addition of motor room-less andstructure supported options are giving

    our customers even more choice.

In these days of heightened Health & Safety awareness

we should all be doing everything possible to reduce or

eliminate risks to ourselves and to those around us.

Indeed we have a legal obligation to do so. At Stannah

we are convinced that, for low to medium rise

applications, a ‘hydraulic’ passenger lift is inherently

safer than a ‘traction’ alternative and more convenient...

    EMERGENCY RELEASE

A ‘hydraulic’ lift offers easier emergency lowering and is safe

and convenient for the owner and the lift engineers. In the

event of power failure or breakdown, you simply push a

button and the lift will automatically lower.

    REDUCED MAINTENANCE COSTS

As there are less pulleys and shorter lengths of wire ropes in

hydraulic lifts there is less wear and tear compared to many

traction units. Therefore hydraulic life-time costs should be

considerably lower and the components will last longer.

    ENERGY SAVING

It is important to remember a hydraulic lift uses power only in

the ‘up’ direction. It uses gravity to travel downwards, with a

small amount of energy operating the valves. It is a simple,

efficient and highly effective piece of engineering.

    ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Hydraulic oil has an enormous life span and may well last the

life of the lift. If it ever needs replacing, it is recycled or used

    to power electricity generation.

    REDUCED BUILDING COSTS

There is no excessive loading on a hydraulic lift shaft, with

most of the load being transmitted to the pit, avoiding the

need for an expensive reinforced load bearing lift shaft. As a

result, hydraulic lifts require less lifting beams than traction

options, so energy, time and money can be saved.

     Structure supported

Stannah hydraulic lifts can be supplied in their own structure

to fit into any building. This option helps to reduce building

time and costs even further by reducing the amount of

structural work needed prior to the lift installation. Most of

the load is transmitted to the floor of the pit, thus avoiding

the high cost of a load-bearing lift shaft. This method of

installation is particularly useful in timber framed buildings

where the walls may be unable to support a traditional shaft.

Structure supported options - saving you the cost of  scaffolding, alifting beam and a load bearinglift shaft.

    Passea proven

The Stannah brand is known worldwide, but not

always for the first product we ever manufactured

    – a passenger lift. In the 1860s Joseph Stannah, an

outstanding engineer, began the lift company that

is now still owned and run by the Stannah family.

Stannah Lifts Ltd is today part of the Stannah

Group of Companies, the UK’s largest independent lift

    manufacturer, trading worldwide.

Stannah Lifts has designed, manufactured and installed a wide

range of excellent passenger lifts for over 140 years. Our

manufacturing facility in Andover, Hampshire today supplies the

widest range of hydraulic lifts in the UK.

We conduct all aspects of our business with three basic principles:

Top quality, innovative engineering at affordable prices

    Meticulous attention to our customers

    Uncompromising reliability and safety

We are proud to supply our lifts to some of the UK’s best known

business names and would be happy to provide case studies and

    customer testimonials on request.
