Methodology Divide the class in 4-5 groups; ask each group to

identify spokesperson for each group. Draw nine dots

on the black board (fig 1) and ask the students to copy it

in their note book. Ask them to join the nine dots by

drawing four straight lines and without lifting the

pen/pencil from the paper or retracing the line. Ask

them to discuss and solve it in a specified period of time

10 minutes. In case some one has solved he/she should

be quite and reveal the result (fig 2)

Materials required Hard board to support white papers, pencil, eraser and instrument box.

Methodology Divide the class into 6-8 groups. Allow each group to select a spokesperson. Ask each group to sit in a circle instruct them to draw a circle of radius of 8 cm, using the geometrical instruments, ask each student divide the circle into 24 hours with a pencil. Ask each one of them to write down various activities of their day in the upper half of the page i.e. sleeping, bathing, eating, helping house hold work etc and instruct each student to write how much time he/she spends on each activity in a day. This is to be done with out discussing or copying from other students. This will help the students to think about the total time spent so that he/she will perceive the circle as a graph and ask them to transfer this information on the circle.

Key message 1) Priority given to the works... on their perception of need or difficulty.

Methodology Divide the students into 5-6 groups. Ask each group to

elect a spokesperson. Instruct each group to sit in circle.

The game begins with the student saying the name of a

person e.g. Ashok, the person seated next to his/her left

will repeat the name mentioned and then give another

name beginning with the last letter of the previous name

e.g last letter of Ashok is k, so Ashok and than Kishore

and so on complete at least 2"'' and 3"̂ rounds in a

similar way. Give less time to think; the students should

tell the names very quickly.

Key message 1) Poor concentrate is one of the important reasons for

the poor memory and in effective learning.

2) Interest and motivation are the two important

factors, which can help improve concentration.

Methodology Divide the entire class in seven groups and assign each

team a colour of the rainbow. Ask each team to sit in a

small circle on the floor, each student was given pencils

and papers, place a tray which consists 25 objects in the

middle of the group for 1 minute and ask the members to

try to memorize as many articles as they can. After

lifting the tray and ask the students to write the names

of the objects.

Key message Registration, Retention and Recall (3R's) can be

improved by regular practice.

Use good study habit and memory tips for effective

learning.

he situation and record the feelings that the situation

evokes. Ask the group to write both negative and

positive solutions. Encourage the participants to be

creative and think out of the box when exploring

positive solutions.

Key message One has to weigh the advantage and disadvantage of

possible alternatives and identify his/her personal

strength while coping with stress.

Looking at the possible aspect of the situation.

Methodology Group must be informed about different relationships

that we have in our lives- some are close, some may be

just superficial and some may be very hurtful. Give each

student a sheet of paper and ask them to draw

depict with each circle with the relationships. Once all

the relationship circles have been drawn ask the

participants to draw lines between their centre circles

and the circles they have drawn one line for a

relationship which is not so close, two lines for a circle

for a close relationship and three lines for their best

relationship. On each of the lines ask the participants to

write why they consider the relationship very close, not

so close etc ....

Methodology Ask the 5 or 7 students to come front and stand on the

stage. Ask them to follow the instructions given by

the hand in between but they can turn hand freely. They

have to restructure the circle in such a way that they

have to look at the centre as the normal circle without

cross hands. And try the same with different set of

students. At the end ask the participants about their

experience and the other those who do not participated

in this activity.

the corner where the "Don't Know". The clear

instruction is given that the students should not change

the groups in between the activity are going one.

Facilitator start the discussion by ask the each student

that why they are under this group.

While one of the groups expressing their views other

groups should not interfere. And facilitator should

clarify their doubts, and at the end facilitator must

explain the concepts clearly.
