The Washakie Museum and Cultural Center houses many fascinating exhibits illustrat-ing the relationship between the historical people of the area to their environment. mammoth hunters through Wyoming’s early settlers. Geology, archaeology, and the paleontology of Washakie County are also featured prominently. PAINTEDDESERTWhen traveling west of Worland, a turn on to Wyoming State Highway 431 will take you to the "Painted Desert," or what locals call "The Badlands." Wind, water and time have collaborated in the creation of a colorful and unique landscape of bizarre rock formations, ridges and hollows. An overlook and a 1.5 mi interpretive trail on BLM land make access easy, but bring your own drinking water.
WORLANDAQUATIC CENTEROpen year-round, this brand new state-of-the-art facility provides swimming fun for the whole family! The Aquatic Center includes a leisure pool, competition pool, therapy pool, hot tub, and children’s pool with water slide. There is also an outdoor Splash Pad open in the Summer months. TEN SLEEPFISH HATCHERY
Built in 1939, the Ten Sleep Fish Hatchery is operated by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Nestled in beautiful Ten Sleep Canyon, the hatchery is one of Wyoming’s smallest facilities but still produces over two million �sh
annually. Rainbow, Cutthroat, Brook and Splake trout are all raised on the premises. Three natural springs feed the hatchery over 3 million gallons of water daily and the combined 54 degree temperature is optimal for raising trout.

WYOMING WHISKEY
For a truly unique experience, visit Wyoming's �rst whiskey distillery in Kirby, Wyoming. Wyoming Whiskey is a small batch whiskey made from Wyoming grown ingredients and a limestone aquifer. The distillery is run by head distiller Elizabeth Serage and o�ers tours Monday-Friday from 10 am to 3 pm hourly where you can see the entire whiskey making process. CASTLE GARDENS
Castle Gardens boasts a bizarre landscape of unique rock formations located at the foot of the Bighorn Moun-tains. Take in the scenery while enjoying lunch at the picnic and rest area. Please be sure to bring your own water and take any trash with you. The Castle Gardens Scenic Area can be enjoyed by the public free of charge from May-October.
From Ten Sleep, take Old 10 Sleep Hwy W 3 mi, turn left on 2 Mile Hill Rd and drive S 4.5 mi. Veer right on to Castle Gardens Rd, drive SW 1 mi to the parking area.

Found on the western slope of the Big Horn Mountains, Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site is home to a large sandstone cli� displaying hundreds of Native American petroglyphs and pictographs, many of which date back more than 10,000 years. Along with a visitor center and library, the Site hosts 27 di�erent campsites with picnic tables and camp�re rings. All campsites are near vault toilets and potable water hydrants. A large reservation-only group area is also available.Besides the petroglyphs and pictographs, the Site features abundant wildlife, birds and brown trout in Medicine Lodge Creek.
From Meadowlark Lake down to the red ridged foothills outside Ten Sleep, The Sweet 16 takes you through the awe-inspiring Ten Sleep Canyon. Extreme sportsmen and women are �nding this unspoiled beauty while rock climbing, caving, hiking or mountain biking. A trip up or down the old highway is a special treat, but make sure you have time and a vehicle that can handle it.
Over 189,000 acres of Forest Service managed wilderness are visible to the north and west as you travel along The Sweet 16 from Powder River Pass down toward Ten Sleep. Accessible only by foot or horseback, the Cloud Peak Wilderness features the tallest peak in the Bighorn National Forest, Cloud Peak. Rising to 13,167 feet, Cloud Peak is surrounded by hundreds of high-alpine lakes that rest like diamonds amid a mix of pine and spruce forests, meadows and wetlands. Miles of streams and backcountry trails make the Cloud Peak Wilderness popular with backpackers, horsemen and �y-�shermen. Fishing the high-alpine lakes in late Spring is known to keep a �y-rod bent all day long.

Well known throughout Wyoming and beyond, Nowoodstock is Ten Sleep’s own eclectic music festival and the state’s longest running weekend concert.
For over 15 years, Nowoodstock’s music in the park has been a venue for local artists and national acts playing folk, blues, country, rock and other genres. Held annually the �rst weekend in August in Vista Park, the event is most often headlined by Ten Sleep’s own Jalan Crossland. The event also features local beers, food vendors and arts and crafts.
