paperbacks.

The Kerala Comics Brotherhood is conducting a Halloween themed event

at CC on Oct 29 titled ________. The title is a pun on Halloween using the

name of a comic character (based on a Norse deity) in an upcoming

Hollywood movie.

Italy experienced something more closely akin to a zombie movie during the first major outbreak

of _______ in 1494. Since antibiotics were not in use then, this particular disease could literally

certain member of the Beatles died in 1966 and was secretly replaced by

a look-alike. While it was disproved, popular culture continues to make

occasional references to the legend.

In 2010, American author Alan Goldsher published

the mashup novel ____ __ _(Y)_: The British Zombie Invasion, which

depicts all of the Beatles as zombies.

The artist himself poked fun at it with a 1993 album (which was recorded

at realtime during one of his tours), titling it ____ __ _(Z)_, with the cover

parodying clues allegedly on the cover of the Beatles' Abbey Road album.

The word _________ doesn't seem to hold any kind of cultural significance beyond being part of an

old English saying, “_____ ____, Pound Foolish."

This saying is essentially a warning not to be “_____ ____”— overly cheap when it comes to less

expensive or important things — and "Pound Foolish" — wasteful on big things. Perhaps the word

is a play on the saying, warning children not to be foolish with their lives. Or maybe X just heard the

saying and liked the way " _________ " sounded.

distracted pedestrians cause accidents. Cities such as Chongqing and Antwerp have introduced

special lanes for such people to help direct and manage them.

Augustus to Urquhart Castle, Google would suggest to go by

the which is a rather unconventional mode of transport.

In 2007, daylight saving time changed slightly in USA. Instead of ending in

the last week of October, it now ends in the first week of November. The

decision was made by Congress as part of the Energy Policy Act, a bill that

was presented as a way to conserve energy, giving everyone an extra hour

of daylight in the afternoon.

But in truth, experts found that this actually lead to a wastage of energy

rather than its conservation.

While a little extra light for collecting candy may not seem that

substantial, for an industry that makes over $2 billion each year

on the holiday alone, it can result in a small fortune.

In vocal jazz, scat singing is vocal improvisation with wordless

vocables, nonsense syllables or without words at all. In scat singing, the

singer improvises melodies and rhythms using the voice as an instrument

rather than a speaking medium.

The Frank Sinatra hit song "Strangers in the Night" features a scat at the

X and Y?

William Alvin Moody better known by the name X is a famous figure in

sports entertainment. He also had a degree in mortuary science and had

certification as an embalmer and mortician. His real-life involvement in

the funeral industry was the inspiration behind his fictional persona of X, a

play on the term Y(who is a figure present at every funeral).

His association with death was further emphasised via his pale colour &

antics, an object he normally carried and through the various people he

acted as a spokesperson for.

The following video is from Crossroad Blues which is an episode in the TV

show Supernatural. It shows a famous urban legend about a famous

musician who dies at the end. He's also one of the early entries in a star

studded but a "not looked forward to" group/list.
