The Liebert UPStation GXT uses true on-linetechnology to meet the most exacting equipmentpower requirement of modern network andtelecommunication equipment. Unlike other UPSdesigns, it provides precise sinewave power, to ensureprotection against all types of power disturbances,including lightning strikes and surges, voltage sags,harmonics and power outages. It also offers thecommunications capability and flexibility that is vitalto the continuous operation of today’s complexdistributed computing systems.

The on-line technology at the heart of the highperformance UPStation GXT gives superior powerquality compared with other UPS topologies.Whatever the condition of the utility power supply,the UPS output will meet the requirements ofdelicate and sensitive electronic equipment.

A basic off-line UPS will reduce the impact of spikes,surges and sags in the supply by clipping the peaksand valleys, boosting the power or switching tobattery backup. In fact, within the track of anelectrical sinewave, most power problems will be leftuncorrected.

But the on-line UPStation GXT completelyregenerates the sinewave, rather than merelyconditioning the incoming mains supply. It alsoprovides the frequency regulation which is essentialwhen using backup generator systems.

UPStation GXT Features include:

■ FlexibilityLiebert’s unique RackTower design allows units from1000VA to 3000VA to be installed either free-standingor rack-mounted, whilst the smaller MiniTower units areideal for desk-top applications.

■ Fault tolerance

A fail-safe bypass in the UPStationGXT ensures that thepower supply to the critical load is maintained evenduring UPS overload or fault conditions.

■ Battery back-up upgradingRackTower units can be upgraded using plug-in batterypacks to extend battery time. Extended batterycabinets are also available for the larger Tower units.

Liebert’s SiteNet Integrator takes SNMP management onelevel further and adds environmental and userprogrammable monitoring to the UPS communication.

Power surveillance and shutdown management softwarewhich gives ongoing monitoring and control betweennetwork servers and system UPS via a two-way graphicalinterface.

■ SiteNet® MultiLink

This software allows single or multiple server shutdownthrough either a dedicated serial communicationsconnection, or across the network. It can be used acrossmixed operating platforms and network topologies,allowing your power protection software to expand as yournetwork develops.
