GXP1625 and GXP1620 and GXP1610 are a phone device that can be used with our service. It cannot be used as a typical phone. The customer must subscribe to an Internet Service Provider to be able to use the device. Customer with no broadband router feature must provide a separate broadband router.

Device Assembly

1. Attach the phone stand or wall mount to the back of the phone where there are slots;2. Connect the handset and main phone case with the phone cord;3. Connect the LAN port of the phone to the RJ-45 socket of a hub/switch or a router (LAN side of the router) using

the Ethernet cable;4. Connect the 5V DC output plug to the power jack on the phone; plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.

If PoE switch is used on GXP1625 in step 3, this step could be skipped;5. The LCD will display provisioning or firmware upgrade information. Before continuing, please wait for the

date/time display to show up;6. Using the keypad configuration menu or phone's embedded web server (Web GUI) by entering the IP address in

web browser, you can further configure the phone.7. GXP1625 supports PoE while GXp1620/GXP1610 do not.

LCD Display

GXP1625 / GXP1620 / GXP1610 has a dynamic and customizable screen. The screen displays differently dependingonwhether the phone is idle or in use (active).

▪ GXP1625 / GXP1620 / GXP1610

NxtScrToggles between different idle screens. For example, for GXP1625 and GXP1620 and GXP1610, pressing most left soft key (switch screen) will toggle among default idle screen, weather information, IP address and Account information.

FwdAll Unconditionally forwards the phone line to another phone.

Redial Redial the last dialed number when there is existed dialed call log.

Missed Shows unanswered calls to this phone.

Receive/Reject You can choose whether to receive or reject a call.

EndCall Ends the active call.

Line1/Line2 Switch between LINE1 and LINE2

Page/IntercomIf the intercom number has set, call this number directlyIf the intercom number has not set, press this key will have no effect

Hold Place active call on hold, resume the call on hold.

RecordPress to enable/disable record feature in an active call or an conference.

Menu

Press the 4 navigation keys to move up/down/left/right. Press the round button in the center to enter Keypad Configuration MENUwhen phone is in idle. The round button "MENU" can also be used as ENTER key when in Keypad Configuration

Mute Press to mute/unmute an active call.

Headset Used when you plugged a headset

Transfer Transfer an active call to another number.

Conference Establish 3-way conference with other 2 parties.

Send Enter the digits and then press Send to dial out the number.

Speaker Hands-free function. You can call without using handset. Loudspeaker function

VolumePress "-" or "+" to adjust the volume.

Provisioning is a service that we provide to automatically configure your device via HTTPS. Just make sure your

device’s network and provisioning settings are configured correctly and it will fetch the latest settings every time it is

rebooted. Advantages of provisioning include, but are not limited to, (1) Device can be easily configured by simply

setting it to be provisioned through our server, and (2) If you own multiple devices, they can be simultaneously

provisioned as long as they properly connected to your network.

▪ Automatic Provisioning

② Set the provisioning configurations on your devices. A device will request for the configuration file every time it

is rebooted.

① Register the MAC address of your device on the customer portal. Although

not necessary, you may also set the provisioning settings for your circle.

④ After a successful provisioning, your devices will register to the login server and you can now start to make calls.

③ The provisioning server sends the configuration file which is unique for each device. The server

identifies a requesting device by its MAC address.

① Obtain Device Mac Address.

Grandstream devices are assigned with a unique MAC address in the format of 000BXXXXXXXX where X is any digit

from 0 to 9. MAC address will be used to identify the device during the provisioning process. The MAC address can be

retrieved in various ways.

Via Device Sticker

A sticker is attached at the back side of the device containing its MAC address.

Via Device LCD

1. Press [MENU] [●] button2. Press [▲] or [▼] button several times to navigate to [Status] then press [●] button3. Search for [MAC: 00:0B:XX:XX:XX:XX] by pressing [▲] or [▼] button several times.

Via Web

1. Verify device’s IP address. Press soft key [NextScr] twice to view device’s IP address.2. Open a web browser and enter the device’s IP address on the URL field. Format: [http://IP Address]3. Type password and click [Login]. Default password: admin4. Hover over [Status] and click [Network Status].

② Register Device MAC Address.1. Access the customer management page via web brower.2. Click [Grandstream Provisioning] on left menu or hover over [Settings] then click [Grandstream Provisioning].

3. Search the unique to which the device will be assigned to and enter the MAC address obtained from Step 1 in Grandstream Device MAC Address. Once done, click [Update].

③ Create provisioning settings for your circle. Continue with the next steps only if you want to create your own provisioning settings. Otherwise, default provisioning settings will be automatically created upon the first provisioning request from your circle. You can change these settings later if you wish to.

1. Click [Provisioning Settings].

2. Provisioning Settings page is displayed.

Provisioning Server: URL of server to be used on your Grandstream devices is displayed here.Login Port: Choose 5060 or 25060. Packets between the SIP server and device will be sent through the port specified.Call Waiting: Disable or enable call waiting.Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning: Disable or enable automatic updating of firmware of your devices.Timezone: Choose the timezone for your location. * Setting might not be supported in all devices.Once done, click [Create].

Upgrade via: Select HTTPS.Config Server Path: Enter the URL of Provisioning Server as shown on Provisioning Settings page in Step 3.Once done, click [Save and Apply] then click [Reboot].

※ Rebooting of device may take a few minutes and device might reboot more than once during the process. Please take note also that the device will be provisioned every time it is rebooted.

⑤ Confirm device registration on customer management page. 1. Go to [Unique List]2. Search the unique to which the device was assigned.

The icon indicates that the settings were loaded successfully; device is registered and can now be used. is shown if the device was not able register due to provisioning or other unexpected error. Please see the troubleshooting section. If it still fails after several attempts, please contact us.

Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning: Select Always Check for New Firmware.Upgrade via: Select HTTP.Firmware Server Path: Enter firmware.grandstream.com.Automatic Upgrade: Select Yes, check for upgrade every () minutes and input 10080 on field provided.Once done, click [Save and Apply]

※ Firmware upgrade will take a few minutes. Please do not unplug your device during the operation. If the upgrade fails, reset the device then repeat the upgrade procedure. Instructions on how to reset your device are also included in this manual.

Perform these step to manually backup the settings of your device.

1. Verify device’s IP address. Press soft key [NextScr] twice to view device’s IP address.2. Open a web browser and enter the device’s IP address on the URL field. Format: [http://IP Address]3. Type password and click [Login]. Default password: admin4. Hover cursor over [Maintenance] and click [Upgrade and Provisioning].

Dowload Device Configuration: Click [Download] button to download backup file.

※ SIP account password is not included in backup file.

Perform these step to restore your device from a backup file that you have created.

1. Verify device’s IP address. Press soft key [NextScr] twice to view device’s IP address.2. Open a web browser and enter the device’s IP address on the URL field. Format: [http://IP Address]3. Type password and click [Login]. Default password: admin4. Hover cursor over [Maintenance] and click [Upgrade and Provisioning]. 5. Under Upload Device Configuration, click [Upload] button.

6. On the window that will appear, click [Choose]. Locate the configuration file (Default filename: config.txt) then click [Upload].

7. Upload process will begin immediately. Closing the progress window will terminate the upload operation.

8. A window will appear denoting that the operation was completed successfully.

※ You must enter the passwords for the account manually since SIP account password is not included in backup file.

▪ Troubleshooting

PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION

General Failure Plug and Unplug from the power source. (Do this for few times). Wait for at least one minute before plugging the device.

If the problem is not resolved after doing this, please contact our customer support service. Indicate your number and broadband products.

No ringer sound Ethernet cable is disconnected.

AC adapter is disconnected.

Did you change the volume settings?

Did you change the settings on the display?

Please check the connection of the Ethernet cable.

Please check the connection of the AC adapter.

Please adjust the volume on the button.

Revert the change settings. Disconnect the Ethernet cable (reboot).

Call is interruptedby noise

Are there any abnormalities in the network environment?

Please check your network environment.

Device cannot register after provisioning

Incorrect settings

Network issue

Firewall issue

Confirm that there is no mistake in the registered MAC address, provisioning server. etc.

Please check your network environment (UPnP of the router, SIP-NAT, etc.).

Add corresponding rule for our provisioning/login server when filtering is performed by your routers and/or firewalls.

If the problem is not resolved after doing this, please contact our customer support service. Indicate your unique number, MAC address and model of device.

Please check this troubleshooting procedure before requesting a repair. If the problem doesn’t get resolved, please contact us.

▪ Device Reset

Note that previous configurations will be lost after the initialization process. You need to set all the required settings again to use your device.

1. Press the [MENU] [●] button2. Select [Config]3. Select [Factory Reset] and confirm by selecting [OK]

※ The phone device will be restarted and restored to factory settings.
