EFL and ESL GRAMMAR WORKSHEET KIDS
SIMPLE PAST Irregular affirmative
1 Robert the Explorer’s Irregular Journey
Robert the explorer traveled back to his homeland
in his big old boat, but a pirate’s ship
asked him to stop.
The pirate showed Robert a trunk with gold coins.
Robert was surprised, and asked him: “What do you want?”
"Can you solve this riddle? Then we can share the coins!
Where you go, I long ago
What you eat. I ate and enjoyed
Where you sleep, I slept and dreamed
What you take, I took with the help of my men
What you give, I gave to my beloved King,
but I still can’t explain why the verbs in the coins change?
Robert smiled and said, "It’s simple!
Some verbs just like to change ...
All you have to do is remember them!"
