teeming with fishes, including one of the largest

freshwater fishes in the world, the Arapaima.

Apart from the traditional fishing competition,

for biggest or most caught fish, persons were

sector to achieve the common goal of growing

the industry, he also acknowledged that the

Government has already invested in the

necessary infrastructure to support and promote

a growing tourism sector in Guyana.

friends resulting in a influx of visitors, which

has augur well for the tourism sector. The

operating airline for EZJet is Dynamic Airways

of the US, whose parent, Dynamic Aviation,

operates more than 100 aircraft and has been

providing air services around the world for the

past 75 years.

Visitor arrivals continue to show positive

trend

trends recording a 3.3 increase in 2011, when

compared to 2010.

marketing and promotion of it by the Ministry of

Tourism, Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) and

other industry stakeholders.

While Government has been making

significant investment in the growing sector,

Guyana has been hosting several familiarisation

(FAM) trips and maintaining attendance at key
