Evaluation

•Prior to the smartphones 6.71% of respondents had communicated with teachers using a mobile device 29.53% had shared work with teachers using a mobile device. 13.42% of all respondents had emailed a teacher.•With the smartphones 42.19% of respondents stated that they had communicated/ shared work with teachers using their smartphone. 21.87% said that they had sent an email to their teacher using the smartphone.

Recommendations

•Be certain that technology is fully tested

•Use a pilot group of staff and learners before rolling

out the technology•Ensure that staff are involved and receive
