    AbstractA library research was done to assess the response ofabused women towards gun possession and who ismore violent between women who have access to

    guns and to women who do not. After gatheringsome data needed, the researchers conclude thatwomen with access to guns are more violent. Storiesof abused women such as battered and cheatedon were the basis of the whole research paper.Mistreated women with access to guns tend to beviolent and may kill her perpetrator. In the otherhand, women without access to guns rather escapefrom the batterer, ask for counseling on how to dealwith the situation or to tell on to the authority, like thepolice, and have the abuser arrested.

    Background of the StudyThere have been a lot of crimes happening nowadays which

    threaten ones security. It may be robbery, suicide,

    kidnapping, murder or other cases. Most of these crimes are

    mainly carried out by men. In the society, men are usually

    viewed as the type of people who have the ability to exercise

    violence easily against women; but in reality, some women oftoday are now aggressive that oftentimes lead to violence. In

    most of the reported cases of crimes, the gun is the main

    apparatus utilized.
