PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE Greetings from the Executive Committee and the Volunteers of the Gujarati Samaj of Baltimore. I
hope you are enjoying this beautiful summer weather. The Gujarati Samaj of Baltimore has lined up
many outstanding events for the summer and fall season for your entertainment. I would like to take
a moment to thank all our members for their generous and continuous support. I would also like to
thank all our volunteers, their spouses, and their families for their dedication and hard work for our
community.
First up: The Annual Picnic: We would like to invite you, your family, and your friends to the
summer picnic on Sunday August 4th at the Centennial Park East, Columbia from 12:00 PM- 7:30
PM at Pavilion H. This event comes with delicious Gujarati food, volleyball courts, cricket, a
playground, bingo, prizes, and much more. Please join us to have a great time. Please RSVP via on-
line Registration, which is now open at our website www.gsbaltimore.org.
The Annual Yatra: On Sunday, September 8th, GSB will be taking you to Vraj. On-line
registration will be also open at website www.gsbaltimore.org. This will be a great trip full of fun,
relaxation and a wonderful spiritual experience. Our one-day Yatra has been very popular with our
members, especially, our seniors. If you are interested in donating for this event, please contact any
of the committee members for more information. You can find more information about this event
elsewhere in the newsletter. We cannot wait to see you there!
Navratri Programs: This year, we will be hosting the Navratri Raas-Garbas on four Saturday
nights: September 28, October 5, 12 and 19, 2019. The most enjoyable Navratri Raas-Garba
programs in the Maryland area will be organized again this year at the huge Meadowbrook Athletic
Complex in Ellicott City. Please join us for these amazing Raas-Garba programs. More information
on this will come closer to the event.
Diwali Music Program & Dinner: Tentatively on Sunday, November 10, 2019 – so, please join us
for the Diwali program. The venue has yet to be determined, but stay tuned, as this information will
come soon.
Along with these wonderful programs, you can find other information about our future events on our
website and through our periodic email blasts. We encourage you to sign up for our email list as this
provides the most up to date information regarding our programs, important community news, etc.
You can subscribe to our email list by clicking on the subscribe button on top right corner of our
web site www.gsbaltimore.org. If you would like to advertise through the GSB, then please contact
Raj (Bunty) Patel, and if you would like to sponsor any of our future events or would like to provide
donations, please contact any of the committee members.
Once again, thank you so much for continuing to support for the Gujarati Samaj of Baltimore. It is
my honor to serve you and our community. Hope to see you soon!

Have you ever wondered, 'What is the real goal of this human life? Am I merely a name or is there more underlying my identity and existence? Is it possible to experience eternal inner peace and happiness? The answers to these and numerous fundamental questions, both spiritual and material, have been answered by Param Pujya A. M. Patel, also known as DadaBhagwan. Come and attend our weekly spiritual discourses in Maryland and Virginia...
Awaken and Experience The Soul with Self Realization, Your Real Self
Worldly life is based on ‘action’ and the spiritual life is based on ‘knowing’. One does the action and the other ‘sees’. The ‘doer’ and the ‘knower’ can never be the same, they are always separate. They were separate, they are separate and they will remain separate. -DadaBhagwan
Moksha (ultimate liberation) cannot be attained until purity arises. To attain purity one has to realize ‘Who am I?’ -DadaBhagwan
