    ThE STORY

Rosa, Nick, Berg and Petit all have one thing in common: they all want to become famous actors. It is this

common dream that brings them together at Miss Applegates auditions.

Rosa is the first to go before Miss Applegate, but things do not get off to a good start and Miss Applegate

cuts the audition short, before Rosa has had a chance to finish. She is followed by Berg and then Nick, but

once again, they too fall short of impressing the ever irritable Miss. Applegate. Nothing seems to please her

and their efforts turn out to be disastrous when Nicks bad pronunciation results in him making a fool out ofBerg and himself.

Berg seems to think that he can do better on his own by presenting a dialogue from the Phantom of

the Opera that emphasizes the importance of love. Once again, things do not go as planned and Miss.

Applegate begins to lose all patience, and her mind, with every subsequent audition.

Petit is the last person to go up. She gets very nervous up on stage as she prepares to present a scene from

Flashdance. Before she even gets a chance to begin, Miss Applegate starts to get hysterical and poor Petits

attempts to comfort her only make things worse. Miss Applegate finally loses all control and runs off the

    stage, leaving Petit in tears.

It seems as though Nick, Berg, Petit and Rosa will never be able to live out their dreams of becoming actors. Then, just when everything seems to be going horribly wrong, Berg saves the day with an idea that just may

be able to help them make it to the stage. But will the four of them really pull off their plan and make it to the

bright lights of Broadway, fulfilling their dreams of fame?

    Nick: Break a leg!

    Berg: What do you mean?

Nick: When you say break a leg in theater language, it means: good luck.

Rosa enters bringing a small toy piano, a tambourine and many shakers attached to her arms and

    legs.

    Miss: Come closer.

Rosa: My name is Rosa Hernndez and I am going to present a scene from a musical called Fame, and

then a song, also from the musical Fame

The guy takes homage to Sting, the famous singer. The costume was my creation and my friend here

    is going to help me.

Nick makes a choreography of Gene Kelly from Singing in the Rain, but instead of singing Imsinging in the rain he sings Im Sting, stinging in the rain, dressed as a bee, in the rain. The

helper follows all the movements with the watering can on Nicks head, making the rain.

Miss: Mister Borovsk, do you have any idea of what you have just presented here??

Nick: Madame, you didnt understand, or you dont like Sting?

Miss: This scene that you just presented is from the musical singing in the rain, with Gene Kelly and has
