POSTER MAKING CONTEST SB Session Hall, Damulog, Bukidnon July 28, 2008 @ 1 PM 1. A participant must submit his/her entry on or before July 25, 2008. 2. MECHANICS & GUIDELINES: There will be three categories o Grade 1-3 o Grade 4-6 o 1 st year – 4 th year PRE-JUDGING – July 15, 2008 Participants should submit their entries in a ¼ of white cartolina, printing their names on the reverse side of the page. The name of the school and the grade/ year represented by the participant should also be written on the next lines following his name. A 1” margin on each side should also be observed. Entries will be judged according to the criteria specified below and only 1 participant per grade/ year level per school (or 3 participants per category per school) will qualify to the final round of judging which will be held on July 28. Aside from the materials given, participants CANNOT USE ANY OTHER POSTER-MAKING MATERIALS during the contest proper. The poster must be based on the theme: “FREEDOM TO …” and not “FREEDOM FROM …” The actual poster making will be done strictly in a span of 1 hour only. 3. THEME MAKING CONTESTJuly 15, 2008

1. REQUIREMENTS:

Participant must be a bona fide resident of any barangay in Damulog, Bukidnon.

2. MECHANICS & GUIDELINES

Entries should be submitted on or before July 15, 2008. Entries should be printed/ type written/ hand written in a

short-sized bond paper. There is no specified length for the theme, but it would be

better if it is brief, concise and direct to the point. Entries submitted should be in Visayan language. The winning entry will automatically be the official theme of

the 37th Araw ng Damulog and will receive a P 1,000.00 cash prize.

Government employees and committee members up to 2nd degree of consanguinity are prohibited to join the contest.

3. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

Originality - 40%Relevance to the Celebration - 30%Social Impact - 30% Total - 100%

(DANCE CONTEST)Damulog Municipal Gym

August 14, 2008 @ 7 PM

Members of the dance group must be a bona fide resident of Damulog, Bukidnon

Dance groups should consist of a minimum of five (5) members and a maximum of ten (10). Groups should also be composed of both male and female members.

The group may dance any kind of dance with a maximum of 5 minutes, a corresponding deduction is given per second of time lapsed.

No liquid or flammable materials or props are allowed in the contest.

Age of the participants is 12 up to 24 years old.

Contestants must pass the auditions conducted by the Search Committee on the following Dates:

July 17, 2008 - Macapari Barangay Office July 18, 2008 - Kitingting Barangay Office July 24, 2008 - Old Damulog Barangay Office July 25, 2008 - Municipal Function Hall

1. REQUIREMENTS:

All singers must be a bona fide resident of Damulog, Bukidnon. Contestants must pass the auditions conducted by the Search

Committee on the following Dates: July 17, 2008 - Macapari Barangay Office July 18, 2008 - Kitingting Barangay Office July 24, 2008 - Old Damulog Barangay Office July 25, 2008 - Municipal Function Hall

Age of the qualified participant is 12 up to 24 years old only.

2. MECHANICS & GUIDELINES:

AUDITIONS During auditions, no musical accompaniment or instruments

should be used. This is to avoid delays and to audibly hear the vocals of the participant for the judges’ convenience.

CONTEST PROPER Participants will be judged in three rounds, namely the

PRODUCTION EXPOSURE (20 %), DRAWN-BY-LOT SINGING ROUND (30%) and the FINAL ROUND (50%), in which the participants are free to choose whatever song they may prefer.

The song for the PRODUCTION is pre-determined by the committee concerned and will be sung in chorus by all finalists during the contest proper. In the DRAWN-BY-LOT Round, pre-determined songs are arranged in random order in which contestants get the song they will sing by drawing lots days before the event. This is to give time for practices and song familiarization.

CD’s and song for the FINAL round should be submitted on or before August 5, 2008. Change of songs after this date is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED.

3. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

Voice Quality - 35%Mastery & Timing - 25%Star Appeal - 30%Audience Impact - 10% Total - 100%
