21.TheGreen-Tech-WBpartnershipThe mobility plan of this project, coordinated by the Universidade de Vigo (Spain) and co-ordinatedbytheUniversityofFanSNoliiKorçë(Albania),wasdesignedwiththeaimofdeployingthehorizontalprinciplesoftheEuropeanUnionfortheeconomic&socialdevelopmentinThird-Countries through the cooperation in higher education, research & innovation and around thethematicarea“GreenTech:Smart&GreenTechnologiesfor InnovativeandSustainableSocietiesinWB”.ThisprojectpromotesEUHEIascentresofexcellenceinlearning&researcharoundGreenITanddrives thisexcellence toWesternBalkans countries inorder to contribute to theirbettergovernance & social cohesion but also to connect Western Balkans countries to the globaleconomy.

Our partnership involves 8Higher Education Institutions fromEUand from12WesternBalkanscountries: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro1, Serbia. The consortium alsoincludes27associatedmembersfromEUcountriesandfromcountriesinthelot,whicharewillingto participate in three main tasks: Professional Training; Technology-Transfer; and Publicity &QualityAssurance.

42.TargetgroupsThe European Commission defines three target groups for the mobility flows for students,academicandadministrativestaff.

Please, take into account that in target group 3 applicantsmust present official documentationthat proves their eligibility for this group. In case applicants fail to do so, the partnership willconsiderthemasTG1orTG2,dependingonthehomeinstitution.

3.FieldsofstudyAll the EU partners included in the GreenTech-WB partnership have a long experience andknowledgeandofferhighqualityundergraduate,masteranddoctoratedegrees,andspecialized

Eachpartnerhasindicateditsthematicareasofexcellence,amongtheareasintheprevioustable,whichshouldbetakenintoconsiderationbythecandidateswhenapplyingforthegrant.

4.TypesanddurationofscholarshipsThemobilityschemeoftheprojectdeterminesthattheapplicantsofWesternBalkanscountries(Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Serbia) can only apply to EU partnerinstitutions (in Table 1) and that EU applicants can only apply to Western Balkans partnerinstitutions(inTable2).

TheGreenTech-WBprojectsupports153scholarshipsclassifiedasfollows:57undergraduates,32masters,21doctorates,14post-doctoratesand29staff.

Themobilityflowsareexpectedtobedistributedaccordingtothefollowingtables,althoughtheGreenTech-WBpartnershipisabletochangethedistributionoftheavailablescholarshipswiththeaimofachievingabetterimplementationoftheprojectandfulfilltheobjectivesregardingcross-cutting issues such as: gender balance, regional balance, priority areas for Western Balkanscountries,partner’sexpertise,etc.

Ø Undergraduate/master/Doctoralstudentswillhavetheirmobilityperiodsfullyrecognizedbythepartnerhomeinstitutionuponsignatureofthecorrespondinglearningagreement.

Ø Master/DoctoralstudentswhoreceivefulltrainingatthehostinstitutionwillreceivethecorrespondingDiploma,aftersuccessfullyendingofthestudyperiod.

5.EligibilitycriteriaforstudentsIn order to be eligible for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship under the Green-Tech-WB project,applicantsmustfulfillthefollowingrequirements:

Ø Be nationals of one of the Western Balkans countries in the Green-Tech-WB project(Albania,Bosnia&Herzegovina,Kosovo*,Montenegro,Serbia)ornationalsofoneoftheEU countries in Table 3. They should provide a proof of nationality. Candidates withmultiplenationalitiesmustdecideatapplicationstageunderwhichONEnationalitytheyapply.Applicantswillberequiredtoprooftheirnationalitybyusingofficialdocuments.

Ø Forbeingadmissible,theapplicationhastocontainallthedatalistedbelow:Personaldata

of the candidate, year of birth, CV, fulfilment with the eligibility criteria for an EMscholarship (proof of nationality, respect of 12 months rule - for Western Balkansnationals,declarationofhonourofnothavingreceivedanEMAction2scholarshipforthesame purpose, relevant requirements for different target groups and type of mobility,proof of sufficient knowledge of the tuition language at the host institution), choice ofcoursesand/orstudyprogrammeandpreferredhostuniversities(from3to5).

Ø Doctorate and post-doctorate positions might have additional requirements that theapplicantsmust properly satisfy (personal interviews, documents proving their researchfields,etc.)

6.EligibilitycriteriaforacademicandadministrativestaffThe staffmobility (academic and administrative) offers additional opportunities of personal andprofessionaldevelopmentsinceitinvolvestheactiveparticipationinteaching,researchandinthedaily life office activities in a partner institution. Inorder to be eligible for an ErasmusMundusscholarshipundertheGreen-TechWBproject,applicantsmustfulfillthefollowingrequirements:

Ø Be nationals of one of the Western Balkans countries in the Green-Tech WB project(Albania,Bosnia&Herzegovina,Kosovo*,Montenegro,Serbia)ornationalsofoneoftheEU countries in Table 3. They should provide a proof of nationality. Ø Applicants must work for full time in a partner institution of the Green-Tech WBpartnership(TG1,Tables1and2)orinanotheruniversity(TG2/TG3);theymustincludeintheapplicationtheofficialdocumentsthatprooftheyfulfillthisrequirement.

Ø Applicantsmustagreetogetherwiththehomeandhostinstitutionsontheprogrammeofactivities:lectures,administrativework,researchactivities,etc.Itisrecommended(highlyadvisable)toincludelettersofsupportfromthehost/homeinstitutions.

Ø Applicantsmustagreetogetherwiththehomeandhostinstitutionshowthemobilitywillbe carried out: only one period ormore than one stay to complete thewholemobilityperiod.Anyway, theGreen-TechWBprojectonly supports theexpensesofONE travel.Applicantsmustsignaletterrecognizingtheyareawareofthissituation.

Ø Staff positions might have additional requirements that the applicants must properlysatisfy(personalinterviews,documentsprovingtheirresearchfields,etc.)

Theselectionprocesswillgiveprioritytomobilityflowsthat:

Ø Contributetothestrengtheningof the internationalcooperationcapacityof theHEIs inthe partnership such as: prepare future cooperation projects; bilateral agreements formobility implementation; extend links between departments/faculties; create/improvethelocalandregionalmanagementstructures(researchgroups,IROs,TTOs,…);etc.;

Ø ContributetodefineandimplementtoolstoallowamoredynamicacademicstructureoftheHEIsintheWesternBalkanscountriesintheGreen-TechWBpartnershipforthemtobenefitfromtheBolognaprocessandtheEuropeaneducativeexperience:useofECTS(orother systems of study recognition between the partner institutions), DiplomaSupplement,etc.

Ø Foracademicstaff:§ Tuition: Production of new teachingmaterials, experience exchange in teaching

methods,co-tutelleagreements,jointsupervisionofmaster/PhD,etc.§ Research: Development of joint research activities, promoting the skills and

experienceinresearchtechniques,etc.Ø Foradministrativestaff:

§ Help to create/develop/strengthen the international cooperation departments,identificationofgood-practicesinthemanagementofinternationalcooperation.

§ Strengthen themanagement capacityof the involved institutions in themobilityprocess, producing newworking andmanagementmaterial to help themobilityflows.
