    Green Hotel

    Green Hotel is a hotel which is environmentally-friendly and adopts energy conservation measures.

    Apartfromthestarandorchidclassications,hotelsthatscoreshighincriteriarelatedtoenvironment

    conservation can also be rated as Green Hotel. The criteria is adopted from the ASEAN Green Hotel

    Standards.

    ASEAN Green Hotel Award

    At the ASEAN level, ASEAN Green Hotel Award was introduced in the year 2008. It is a recognition

    giventohotelswhichfulllsthestandardsagreeduponbytheASEANNationalTourismOrganizations.

    Each ASEAN Member States are to nominate hotels that meets the standards to be conferred the

    ASEANGreenHotelAward.Awardedhotelsareencouragedtocontinuouslypracticeandfulllthe

    required criteria in order to retain the award.
