The Trip

First day in “La Douce France”. We will start from the historic village of Vence. This twelve century perched village has the perfect starting point for a fantastic ride in the backyards of the Mediterranean Sea. The circuit of today is a roughly 90 km (56 miles) with the climb of Col de Vence at the end. Overnight in Nice- Evening at leisure in Cannes.

Today we will leave for Moustiers Sainte Marie. This tiny medieval village is the perfect starting point for visiting the Canyons of du Verdon and lies right in the middle of the beautiful Gorges du Verdon region. The Gorge du Verdon is one of the biggest and most beautiful Gorges in Europe and therefore a very popular tourist attraction. Today’s Cycle Tour is Cycling France on his best. You will see stunning views and gigantic cliffs of limestone rock cut by the unbelievable turquoise green river Verdon. Overnight in Moustiers - Dinner included

At our hotel we directly jump on our bikes for a Cycle Tour on the famous Promenade des Anglais in Nice. The cycle path on the banks of the Mediterranean Sea is a perfect place to discover Nice and its surroundings; this is cycling the Côte d'Azur on his best. After Nice we continue our way along the beautiful coastline of the French Riviera. We cross villages like Villefranche-Sur-Mer and Beaulieu-sur-Mer before reaching the Principality of Monaco. Relax and watch the enormous yachts in Monaco’s main port before heading to Menton. From this popular village we take the route up to Lance Amstongs Col de Madone! We’ll meet at our hotel. We will collect you and we`ll bring you to our hotel in the vicinity of Nice. A welcome drink awaits you and evening dinner will be provided. The tour leader will explain the coming activities and itinerary for this Cycle Côte d'Azur program. Overnight in Nice - dinner

Todays ride starts in front of our hotel. Here begins the challenge!, the most famous ascent to the Mont-Ventoux. We directly climb this big challenger with its top at 1912 meters (6273 feet). You will follow the cycle path of all the greatest riders in the Tour de France.....come on you can do it! After the 22 kilometres climb you'll reach the summit of the Mont-Ventoux”. Relax on top and prepare yourself for a very spectacular descent to the villages of Malaucène. From here its only 12 kilometers back to Bédoin. Overnight in Bedoin-Evening at leisure

Early departure to Alpe d'Huez. In the afternoon you will climb the Alpe d'Huez. Cycle the Alpe d'Huez, twenty-one hairpins, 13.8 climbing kilometres (8.5 miles) are waiting for you. Set your personal best time in this challenging stage. After Alpe d`Huez summit we continue to the top of Col de Sarenne and descend slowly all the way back to our hotel.Overnight in Bourg d'Oians - Dinner included

Expect a hard day in the saddle; After breakfast we cycle to Allemond.This tiny little village is the starting point to the Col de la Croix de Fer. It’s a very irregular climb with many undulations and some flat sections. Although the Croix de Fer climbs is not the hardest, it is perhaps the most scenic. Hopefully we will cycling the Alps with a clear blue sky and breath-taking views. Relax at the restaurant on top before you freewheel downhill to Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. From here we continue our way up to Col du Telgegra to la Valloire. Overnight in La Valloire - Dinner included.

Departure to Nice. Afternoon at leisure and in the evening we have a good bye dinner in Antibes famous for its flashy yachts.

You will need all your energy for the 18 km (11.2 miles) ascent. Col du Galibier summit is at 2645 meters (8678 ft). Enjoy the views on top and get ready for the 38 km (23.6 miles) downhill to Briancon. From here we start with climbing the Izoard, this huge giant is accessible via D902 and connects Briancon on the north valley of the Guil in Quevras and ends at Guillestre south valley. This route is full of spectacular gorges and green forests can be seen all over. Overnight in Guillestre - Dinner included
