New Wellness Clinic Begins in 2017 We are beginning a new Wellness Clinic starting on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. The goal of the wellness clinic is to provide a resident specific educational opportunity focusing on promoting independence in respects to resident centered health maintenance. This will ultimately lead to enhanced elder involvement in wellness planning, readiness to learn and fostering the culture that we strive to uphold within our communities.

Resident Spotlight

Meet Penny V.

Penny has been a resident at Carolina Assisted Living for two years and is one of the music lovers in our community. She has a special love for babies and little ones! She is also a diehard Lucille Ball and “I Love Lucy” fan! Penny was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is a lover of dogs, poetry, along with sewing and was an avid gardener. She is married to her devoted husband Len who visits her daily. She has four children with him. Penny’s granddaughter Karissa is a kindergarten teacher and the children from Johnston Elementary School in Appleton are our adopted Grandchildren of Education in our KinderKids program.

Staff Spotlight

Meet Amanda Hardy Amanda has been one of our care staff members for 10 years. She loves working with the elders and has worked in all areas of care and life enrichment here at Carolina Assisted Living. She is a newlywed having married her husband Randy in October. She is currently awaiting the birth of her daughter due in March. She has two other daughters ages 5 and 3 and devotes all of her free time away from CAL to her children and husband. The girls and Amanda love going to the park and the library on some of their outings!

Carolina Assisted Living will once again host The KinderKids program during the spring of 2017

We are proud to be partnered with Mrs. Ring’s Kindergarten class from Johnston Elementary School once again this year! We will begin our spring semester with them on Monday January 16th and have them as guests every third Monday through May! The energy of the kids combined with our elders energy makes for a totally fantastic time of interaction and learning!

Trying new things and expanding our horizons through social events, outings, small and large group activities, art, music and more we bring excitement and purpose to our daily lives!
