Summerland is in British Columbia, Canada. It is a small community of 12000 people in the Okanagan Valley. Summerland is situated in the heart of Okanagan Valley. It is located 12 miles north of Penticton and 18 miles south of Peachland. Some of the major attractions include :

Fine beaches and Parks. Mountains for biking and hiking Beautiful orchards and vineyards. Attractive stores with an Old English theme. Restaurants. Boating and Swimming.

Several festivals and sporting events take place throughout the year.

Golf Courses. Wine Tours. Over 50 Wineries to visit within 45 minutes of

Summerland Kettle Valley Railway. Visitors can do Skiing. It is one of the major Winter Sports. Summerland accommodations are resorts, motels,

campgrounds and bed and breakfasts. Things to do:• Visitors can take a ride on the Kettle Valley Steam Railway.

This round trip is for two hours. Only 16 Km. From the train, you can enjoy the view of Trout Creek Trestle, 73m above the creek.

• You can spend a whole day in any one of the Summerland’s six beaches:

1. Powell Beach, Trout Creek.2. Gordon Rotary Beach, Iowertown.3. Kin Beach, Iowertown.4. Peach Orchard Beach, Iowertown.5. Sun-Oka Beach Provincial Park, Trout Creek.6. Crescent Beach, Iowertown.

Two famous Golf Courses are located in Summerland:1. Summerland Gold and Country Club has 18 holes,

6,555 yards, Par 72. This Golf Course is set amongst pine and poplar trees.

2. Sumac Ridge Golf Club has 9 holes which is located 1 km North of Summerland on Hwy 97.

• Nearly 168 Campsites are located on the west side of the lake in Okanagan Lake Provincial Park, 10 Km of Summerland. This park is open throughout the year which can be used for day purpose and picnics, but campers should be prepared for crowds during the peak season.

• Summerland was the site of the first electric light service in the Okanagan in 1905.

• Do see Summerland Trout Hatchery which is open for self-guided tours, seven days per week.
