Single Programmes

Politecnico di Milano offers you the opportunity to attend lectures and sit the evaluation tests of single courses without being enrolled in a Study programme (Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) or Laurea magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science)). The opportunity to attend single Programmes allows to:

• improve your personal skills also with the purpose of admission to public special competitions

• add curricular parts needed to enrol to Laurea magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) Each course is related to some ECTS (University Educational Credits) that measure the corresponding workload. Single Programme registration lasts one academic year and allows the frequency of the related teachings and the final examination in the degree exam sessions scheduled in the three sessions related to the academic year of registration, with achievement of the official certificates. The career related to single Programmes will automatically close at the end of the academic year and it is therefore necessary a new registration if you want to attend the next academic year.

Single Programmes to improve your personal skills You can enrol to single Programmes if you have some specific interests or you have to pass special examinations that allow the admission to particular public competitions. Any score approval or recognition of attendance in case of subsequent enrolment in Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) or Laurea magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) programmes will be subject to assessment by the appropriate Educational commissions of Study programmes as defined by the University. If you do not take or pass exams of Single Programmes in which you are enrolled, approval of attendance is at the discretion of the Study Programme Board (CCS).

Requirements To enrol in Single programmes you must have a secondary education qualification of second degree.

Registration conditions You can enrol up to a maximum of 32 ECTS per academic year. The choice of courses depends on the semester in which you enrol. Enrolment in Single programmes is incompatible with enrolment in Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science), Laurea magistrale/specialistica (equivalent to Master of Science) and Old Educational System programmes of Politecnico di Milano or other Italian University; but it is compatible with enrolment to Masters of Politecnico di Milano. The acceptance of enrolment application to Single programmes is subject to the availability of places on the basis of those occupied by students enrolled in Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) and Laurea magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) programmes.
