MICROSOFT ADCENTER (NOW BING ADS)

Bing Ads is a good alternative online advertising option for Google AdWords. AdCenter ads can

be displayed in both Bing and Yahoo search networks thus attracting variety of users from

various countries. With the increasing market share in search engine space advertising through

adCenter undoubtedly will attract more users to your site.

HOW TO GET START WITH MICROSOFT ADCENTER?

It is very easy to start your advertising campaign with Bing Ads. Login to your Bing Ads account

and follow the basic steps:

1. Click on the Campaigns Tab and then click “Create Campaign”.

2. Provide details like Campaign Name, Time zone, Daily budget, Language and Location.

3. Create and preview your ad.

4. Choose your keywords and save your Campaign.

AD GROUPS

You can create multiple ad groups under same or different campaigns. Under Campaigns tab

select ad groups and then click create ad group.

Once you saved your ad group, you can see your ad group under campaigns tab and edit start

and end dates for your ads and bids for search and content.

Click on your ad group name and then the settings tab to edit your ad distribution. Here you can

select whether you want to display your ads only in Bing and Yahoo search network or

syndicated partners search also. You can set your start and end dates for your ads here.

BID AND TARGETING SETTINGS

You can bid your ad for Search or Content or both networks.

ADD YOUR BUSINESS LOCATION

If you have a business location to be shown in your ads, then under campaign tab select your

account and add business location by clicking the link “Manage your business locations”.

You can also setup this during campaign creation.

IMPORT FROM GOOGLE ADWORDS

Microsoft introduced a beta version of importing your ad campaigns from Google to Bing Ads. This option helps to import your existing AdWords ad campaign into Bing ads seamlessly.

BILLING

Billing is simple process in adCenter; unlike AdWords here you can pay through your PayPal.

Just add your PayPal id under Accounts & Billing tab > Payment Methods > Add PayPal.

MICROSOFT ADCENTER TOOLS

Click the Tools link nearer to the top right. AdCenter offers various tools to analyze and optimize

your ads.

ADCENTER REPORTS

Under Reports tab you can see the reporting options for your ad performance. You can generate

graphical reports for various parameters like impression, clicks, amount spend, average CPC,

CTR and average position.

MICROSOFT ADCENTER DESKTOP

Download Microsoft adCenter desktop tool and manage your search campaigns from your

desktop. This helps you to save time and improve the performance of your campaigns, whether

you're online or offline. You can do changes offline and then sync it online by uploading your

revisions with one click.

TIPS FOR USING BING ADS COUPON CODE

Here are the simple tips for adding coupon code in Bing ads, Verifying Coupon codes and

deleting the entire account after using the coupon.

HOW TO ADD COUPON CODE IN ADCENTER OR BING ADS?

Follow the below steps in Microsoft adCenter (old version):

Login to your adCenter account.

Go to Accounts & Billing tab.

Select account tab.

Click on your account number which will take you to details section.

Go down to the coupon section.

Enter you coupon code to redeem and save.

Follow the below steps in Bing Ads (New version):

It’s been now easier to navigate to the redemption section.

Login to your Bing Ads

Go to details under Accounts & Billing Section.

Enter your code in Coupon Info section and click on Redeem button.

You can also switch to older version of adCenter.

You can also enter the coupon code under payment methods.

Select Add Coupon, Enter you coupon code and click redeem.

HOW TO VERIFY COUPON CODE IN ADCENTER OR BING ADS?

Follow the below steps in Microsoft adCenter (Old version):

Login to your adCenter account.

Go to Accounts & Billing tab.

Click billing tab.

Select your account and click on GO button.

You can see your coupons applied to your account, the validity date and the amount spent.

Follow the below steps in Bing Ads (New version):

Login to your Bing Ads account.

Go to billing under Accounts & Billing Section.

Check your coupon code under Coupon Redemption section.

You can also have an option to switch to old version.

You can also check the amount spent in your coupon code under payment methods.

IS CREDIT CARD MANDATORY FOR COUPON REDEMPTION IN BING ADS?

Credit card is not mandatory for adding coupon or promo code in your adCenter or Bing Ads

account. Unlike Google AdWords you can add your PayPal address as a payment method for

billing purpose in Bing Ads. You can also set your PayPal address as a primary payment

method.

This makes the payment very convenient, for example your billing address can be in US but your

PayPal account can be in different country and the billing is based on the currency of your choice.

HOW TO ADD PAYPAL ACCOUNT IN BING ADS?

The process is same for both the Old Version (Microsoft adCenter) and the New Version (Bing

Ads). Follow the below steps:

Login to Your account

Go to payment methods under Accounts & Billing section

Click “Add PayPal” and add your PayPal id.

HOW TO DELETE MICROSOFT ADCENTER ACCOUNT?

When using free promo code or coupon in adCenter you should be careful with the expiry of the

coupon. After expiry you can delete the account by following the below steps:

Login to your adCenter account.

Go to Accounts & Billing tab.

Select account tab.

Select the check box nearer to your account number.

Click on delete button.

Confirm the popup to delete your account.

You can also pause your campaign to stop spending money against your ads. The other option is

to change the status or the validity of you ad group to inactive or before the coupon offer expiry

date respectively.

If your ad continues to receive clicks after the expiry of the coupon your ads will be displayed

continuously and you will be charged accordingly by Microsoft.
