You are invited to take part as Namchak Khenpo teaches on the Secret Essence Tantra in a rare and precious Guhyagarbha teaching retreat at the beautiful Garden of One Thousand Buddhas in Arlee just 20 miles North of Missoula, Montana from November 1-10, 2013.

Namchak Khenpo, the brother and spiritual heir of Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche, was born in Eastern Tibet in 1965. As a young monk, Khenpo studied all aspects of Buddhism, including ritual arts and chanting. Khenpo then traveled to Mysore, India where he had the good fortune to meet His Holiness, Penor Rinpoche and begin studying at His Holiness’s Nyingma College, Namdrol Ling Shedra. He graduated after nine years as a Do-Ngag Rabjampa, Master of Sutra and Tantra, the highest academic degree. He spends his time in Nepal and as resident Abbot at Ewam Sang-ngag Ling in Arlee, Montana.

The text from which Namchak Khenpo will teach is Key to the Precious Treasury by Dodrupchen Tenpa'i Nyima, who has said, “this glorious Secret Essence Tantra possesses eight great features. It is the king of all tantras, pinnacle of all vehicles, origin of all doctrines, general commentary for all scriptural transmissions, core wisdom, intent of all the victorious ones, ultimate state of all results, path that all tathagatas have embarked upon, and great path of all true practitioners.”

The retreat will take place at the Ewam Sang-ngag Ling and The Garden of One Thousand Buddha in Arlee, MT just North of Missoula, MT. Daily approximate teaching schedule will be 9am-12pm, 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Cost for the retreat is $500 which includes food and lodging. Text is $95. Coordinating with others on flight times when booking can be helpful since the center is an hour round trip from the airport. This retreat is open to those having taken the proper appropriate empowerment and prerequisites.
