With genuine 4x4 capabilities, it’s purposely designed to deliver the ideal balance between the demands of a quick trip to the hardware store, as easily as tackling outback tracks on your next adventure.

By drawing inspiration from iconic Toyota SUVs and HiLux range, the more powerful and comfortably appointed Fortuner rede nes the capabilities of a polished SUV.

The progressive exterior styling features a distinctive black grille with grey paint surround on GX grade and a silver surround nish on GXL and Crusade.

Sleek LED headlamps are set in chrome surrounds on GX and GXL grades, with Bi-LED headlamps standard on Crusade. These use the same advanced lighting technology for high or low beam and will automatically maintain a constant beam angle, as the load weight increases or decreases. Integrated LED Daytime Running Lamps complement the headlamps to ensure you can be seen at all times.

The underside is protected by an integrated skid plate to help prevent unwanted stones or other objects striking the engine bay.

The interior of Fortuner has been aesthetically designed to help improve the way you travel, no matter how far or where you plan to adventure.

Variable Flow Control Steering provides a more natural feel and reduces the eort required by the driver by automatically delivering the optimal level of power steering to match the driving conditions. In Sport mode, on GXL and Crusade, the steering is adjusted for a slightly heavier feel and control, plus the Paddle Shifters on GXL and Crusade provide you with an even more connected drive.

The automatic climate control on GXL and Crusade will constantly maintain the temperature for perfect comfort, no matter the weather outside. The exible 7 seat layout includes an extremely functional 60/40 tumble and slide second row to provide ample space for family and friends, as well as the capability to carry diverse loads such as camping gear with ease.

The technology found within every Fortuner grade has been inspired by functional simplicity. Everything has been designed around the latest innovations to help your drive be a more enjoyable and e ortless experience.

The 4.2" colour Multi Information Display (MID) shows fuel consumption levels, outside temperature, possible cruising range as well as other important trip and vehicle details.

The 8" colour touchscreen provides one-touch control of essential functions through a highly intuitive interface of steering wheel buttons or direct contact with the screen. Apart from controlling audio, phone and voice commands, the screen also displays important information including audio and communication details. To help get you to your destination with minimum fuss, satellite navigation² is also standard on Fortuner GXL and Crusade and as an option on the GX. The AM/FM audio system comes with Bluetooth®³,⁴ and USB connectivity³ that allows you to connect compatible devices to play your favourite music and content. It also supports Apple CarPlay®⁵,⁷ and Android Auto™,⁶,⁷ (speak to your Dealer about device compatibility), allowing you to navigate and access your apps on compatible smartphones.

Crisp audio sound is delivered by Digital Radio⁸ that comes as standard on Fortuner GXL and Crusade and optional on the GX, with the sound de nition further enhanced with an 11 speaker JBL®⁹ audio system on Crusade.

To help get you to your destination with minimum fuss, satellite navigation² is also standard on Fortuner GXL and Crusade and as an option on the GX.

With its impressive array of nely-tuned features and enhancements, Fortuner establishes a new standard for performance across both busy urban and rugged o-road environments.

The fuel e³cient 2.8L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine is linked to a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission and now boasts 150kW of highly responsive grunt with 500Nm of torque to easily shoulder the load. Having such an abundance of power also delivers an impressive 3100kg braked towing capacity.¹⁰

Further improvements in fuel e³ciency can be achieved by using the ECO Mode to automatically adjust the engine performance and reduce the power demand in relation to acceleration and the heating or cooling.

Ride comfort has also been rened to elevate the travelling experience for everyone inside. Wind, road and engine noise are suppressed with sound absorbing material throughout the body as well as snug side door and glass seals.

The suspension package has also been developed, tested and tuned in Australian conditions to be equally at home on city roads or rough dirt tracks as well as providing a superior level of ride and handling.

With such lively performance and assured control, tackling any challenge has never felt more rewarding.

Rock solid safety and protectionToyota’s long standing attention to safety provides the reassurance of knowing every Fortuner is equipped with seven SRS airbags to ensure exceptional all-round protection inside the cabin.

Brake Assist¹¹ (BA) will help ensure the safest possible braking distance should you need to brake during an emergency.

Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) will automatically help maintain grip on slippery surfaces and provide greater control when cornering.

If a trailer begins to sway, then Trailer Sway Control (TSC) will automatically use brake and engine control to help suppress the movement.

The reversing camera¹¹ helps deliver a clear view of what’s behind and provides static guidelines to help you reverse into tight spaces. The front and rear parking sensors¹¹ also provide an active warning using buzzers and a display on the MID as the vehicle approaches stationary objects.

Road Sign Assist¹¹ was developed to help recognise certain road speed signs and provide information to you. It displays the most recently recognised speed limit on the Multi Information Display.

High Speed Active Cruise ControlHigh Speed Active Cruise Control¹¹ is designed to help keep a constant distance between vehicles. It uses a milliwave radar to monitor the gap between your vehicle and the one in front, automatically accelerating or slowing down when needed to help you maintain a set distance.

Lane Departure Alert with steering assistLane Departure Alert¹¹ with steering assist is designed to help prevent vehicles drifting from their lane, by monitoring road markings, and providing a visible and audible alert should it detect any deviation from the lane. It may also apply additional braking force if needed, to help you stay in your lane.

Pre-Collision Safety system with pedestrian and daytime cyclist detectionPre-Collision Safety system¹¹ (PCS) with pedestrian and daytime cyclist detection is a multi-stage warning system. Using an integrated camera and radar to help detect other vehicles in front of you, the PCS is designed to assist the driver where there is a likelihood of frontal collision with cars and pedestrians during day or night, or cyclists during the day time. PCS includes a visible and audible alert of possible collisions, additional braking force to assist when you’re braking, and if a collision appears to be unavoidable automatic braking to help mitigate impact.
